According to HomeFacts.com there are 8365 registered sex offenders in Harris County and the today the Houston Business Journal wrote the Greater Houston Partnership is one of three prominent business organizations supporting men using the women’s bathroom.
“Three prominent business-related organizations in Houston have voiced their support of the Houston Unequal Rights Ordinance, which has become a hot issue for the November elections.
The Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Greater Houston Partnership and the Hotel and Lodging Association of Greater Houston released the following joint statement on Sept. 17:
“Houston is a diverse and welcoming city, one where every resident, worker and visitor should be able to enjoy our great city and everything it has to offer, free from discrimination. As the organizations representing the city’s business and hospitality community, we have come together to support the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance. Discrimination of any kind is not a Houston value, it’s bad for the people of our city and it’s bad for our economy.

Do you shop at H.E.B., Kroger, Randalls Food Markets?
Do your daughters attend Houston ISD?
Do you eat Blue Bell Creameries products?
Do you conduct your banking at Comerica, Wells Fargo or Frost Bank?
Do your taxes support the Harris County Department of Education, Harris County Appraisal District, City of Sugar Land or Missouri City, or the Greater Fort Bend Economic Development Council?
Do you dine at Pappas, Café Adobe, Jason’s Deli or Landry’s Restaurants?
I can’t think of a better Twitter, email or phone call campaign to the Investor Relations teams of these companies or to the City Managers and elected officials of these governmental bodies-ask them if they support their business as the site of another Lincoln Moreno incident.

Why look at Moreno why not look at Christopher Hambrook, he pretended to be transgender gaining access to women’s shelters (using the City’s ordinance to masquerade as a woman) where he assaulted a DEAF woman, and a woman who was there because of domestic abuse.

After years and years of Houston being one of the foremost convention cities in Texas, the GHP is in fear of losing that distinction if the ordinance doesn’t pass? I wonder if their members really understand what this ordinance says? Of course this is one of the groups that funnels millions of dollars to defeat conservative legislation in Austin and D.C., so what can we expect.
Over 100 governments have a similar civil rights ordinance on the books with absolutely no problems. This is a non-issue.
Say you have someone still biologically one sex but dresses like the other. Children are much more confused if that person doesn’t go to the restroom specific to how they are dressed. Do you want to be explaining to kids why that person wearing a dress is in the men’s room? They are less likely to be even aware that that woman may not look very pretty.
Intolerant bigots need to quit being lead like sheep protesting the century we live in.
I don’t think it is helpful to label folks as intolerant bigots, but HISD has had a HERO-style policy for some years without any bathroom assaults ever taking place, and Fort Worth has had such a policy for almost 15 years now, with no such assaults.
And you know this how, Mainstream? Because the school district say so? If it did occur it will probably be swept underneath some rug.
I was a teacher for 20 years, here is but one example that I witnessed. A car drove by the school and started shooting at a person. I reported it to the school. The official report from the school was that the shooting occurred several streets over.
While a teacher at another school, I had to stop fights everyday, most of those fights were never reported.
I reported much worse and those incidents never got out of the school.
Tell us how you know that it has never occurred Mainstream?
As to HISD having such a policy you will find that most schools will not let a young man go into the girls bathrooms.
We do know that sexual predators have taken advantage of such laws to sexually abuse women.
If that was your daughter would you feel the same way, Mainstream.
One more thing Mainstream, that transgender goes in and the girl has a boyfriend or brothers that are not as tolerant what do you think will happen. They may be confused about their identity but they are not stupid.

Sorry mainstream, it is counterproductive, do you think that people like Gary would see things differently if one did not refer to them as intolerant bigots? Homosexuals are the worse offenders when it comes to discrimination.
