This is the first full slate of endorsements that I’ve seen. I don’t see anything particularly surprising here but that is probably because I’m familiar with the leanings of the group.
If you know of any other slates that have been issued, let me know. It is important that we get as much information into the hands of voters as possible in order to limit the influence of the big money, paid endorsement slates.
Emmett says
No choice for Dist. 150? Hmm.
Kimery says
Well they certainly want to keep those Republicans who have voted yes to every TARP, every Obama Cromnibus in power don’t they. Culberson and Brady haven’t voted no on any Obama proposal in 7 years……way to go guys.
And Sarah Davis is nothing but a shill for Joe Straus and his merry band of democrats and RINO’s who keep the real conservative legislation from ever hitting the Texas house floor for a vote. By all means, lets go with her. I’m sure she is ecstatic that Devon Anderson’s office indicted the Center for Medical Progress folks instead of Planned Parenthood this week. Sarah is as liberal as any democrat out there.
Don Sumners says
United Republicans has endorsed me in the past, but I knew I was toast when a panel member began interrogating me about my statement in their questionnaire that I was a conservative on both social and economic issues, and officeholders that denied the importance of social issues in politics did not deserve to be in office. Needless to say, my response to the panel was much different than what Sarah Davis or Devon Anderson would have been.
Don Hooper says
Don, agreed it always the Strauss and establishment folks with this group. I always vote the opposite of their picks, great barometer.
