In a shocking development, Harris County Pct. 3 Commissioner Steve Radack’s Democratic opponent, Jenifer Rene Pool, reported receiving more than double the amount of contributions on the latest campaign finance reports. You read that correctly.
Wow!
The finance report from October 11, 2016
No seriously, here are the numbers:
Contributions | |
Steve Radack | $7,000.00 |
Jenifer Rene Pool | $19,000.00 |
You don’t believe me do you? You’re saying to yourself, no way Radack only raised $7,000.00 last quarter. But it’s true. Take a look for yourself, I even highlighted it for you:
Unfortunately for his opponent, all of the contributions listed on the Pool campaign finance report came from Pool. Oh, and there’s that cash on hand discrepancy that might be a problem for the Pool campaign:
Cash on Hand | |
Steve Radack | $1,510,577.23 |
Jenifer Rene Pool | $1,925.81 |
Now that is going to be hard for Pool to overcome.
What a boring politician!
Why am I telling you this? Mostly because Radack’s campaign finance reports are so boring there isn’t anything in them to talk about. I mean, the guy is a fundraising machine when he wants to be so you would think that he would have a few juicy tidbits in his finance reports to write about.
Instead, we get multiple gifts to various charities and churches, gift cards for his employees and contributions to other, less well financed candidates. Dude doesn’t even bother with a campaign web site or Facebook page. And Twitter? Fugetaboutit. He just does the job voters elected him to do. And they have elected him over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Like I said, boring.
Radack at Downtown Houston Pachyderm Club
The main reason I brought this up was to get you to click on the headline so that you would know that Radack will be the featured speaker at the Downtown Houston Pachyderm Club’s weekly lunch meeting tomorrow. The club meets at the Spaghetti Warehouse in downtown Houston from around 11 am – 1 pm. It’s a cheap meal and Radack is a very entertaining speaker. Plus, you can ask him why he was such a slacker fundraiser in the last quarter. Or any other question you want to ask.
You didn’t really think Pool raised more money than Radack, did you?
