Republican Brian Steinocher Announces Candidacy
For Harris County Sheriff
Houston, TX – October 18, 2011 – Today Brian Steinocher, a longtime member of the Harris County Sheriff's Office and a lifetime resident of the county, is announcing his intentions to file for Harris County Sheriff. As a proud member of the community, Steinocher is focusing his campaign on financial responsibility and public safety—two items that he believes are key to improving the quality of life in Harris County.
First time candidate, Brian Steinocher wants voters to know that he is a strong advocate for community and believes in doing what is right. That is exactly why his first priority is public safety. Through his many years of service to Harris County, Steinocher understands that as crime rates rise, it is imperative to close the gap on crime by eliminating opportunity. In addition to re-evaluating the department structure, Steinocher is seeking to do the same with the financial structure. As families struggle to survive on less income, it is vital that the Sheriff Office operate on a shrinking budget as well, especially more so when spending taxpayer dollars.
Brian Steinocher is a second generation police officer and is rapidly approaching his twentieth year as a member of the Sheriff’s Office. Steinocher officially began his career in law enforcement in 1992, after following in his father's footsteps. Brian's father, W.J. (Bill) Steinocher had a long and distinguished career with over 24 years of dedicated service in the Sheriff’s Office, and it was his father whom inspired him to want to serve his community. Harris County needs a committed individual that will use intelligence, efficiency, and common sense leadership to protect those living and traveling through our great county.
As a native Houstonian, Brian Steinocher has established deep roots in the area. In addition to his civil duty, Steinocher’s knowledge of the community has lead him to real estate where has also become a successful real estate agent. In addition to his long-standing relationship with the Fraternal Order of Police, Steinocher serves as a member of Houston Association of Realtors (HAR), Texas Association of Realtors (TAR), and National Association of Realtors (NAR).
Although career oriented and driven, Steinocher emphasizes the importance of family values and morals. Brian is a devoted husband to his wife Ashley and a committed father to his two children, Devon and Braelynn. He believes our children today are the future of tomorrow and it is critical to invest in positive support system for our young citizens to learn and grow amongst. Steinocher and his family devout Christians are members of Community of Faith Church in Cypress.
Steinocher is hoping to continue his strong history of service to the residences of Harris County as Sheriff in 2012 with your help.
