Why do you need to be at the FHR Annual Grassroots Forum on August 24th?
Because Republican politicos and activists should enjoy the same excitement a techie, nerd, or stock market junkie has when future markets, trends, or insider information arrives at their doorstep!
This August 24th, the Federation of Hispanic Republicans is offering FREE admission to Republican activists who enjoy great party discussions on topics that will become hotter within the next few years.
We are featuring Republican State Representative Larry Gonzales from Round Rock, an education policy wonk who earlier this year was tasked with taking on the Obama-Texican, Julian Castro, the rising Democrat who is mayor of San Antonio on NBC and Parade Magazine. Gonzales will be joined by Aaron Pena, a former state Rep who left the Democrat party and joined our GOP while serving in the area of South Texas, a bastion of Democrat control. We are excited that David Jennings of Big Jolly Politics will moderate this panel for our audience.
For those who enjoy energy and conservative philosophical discussions, we have an exciting panel of young activists who are going to make the case for a less social conservative, more Rand Paul style, fiscal conservative, libertarian Republicanism for outreach. This will undoubtedly be a memorable discussion; hopefully we can see some good back and forth between activists. You never know, a lasting peace between all can arise from this event.
Other interesting topics will be covered such as the need for women in our party to be promoted more, immigration’s current media narrative, Battleground Texas and our GOP response from the RNC via David Zapata, and Associated Republicans of Texas represented by Manny Salazar.
The Federation of Hispanic Republicans will feature many of its members such as co-founder and Mayor of Von Ormy Texas, Art Martinez de Vara who just recently was featured in the San Antonio Business Journal for his three consecutive years of property tax cuts. Artemio “Temo” Muniz, Chairman of the Federation of Hispanic Republicans will join him along with Chris Carmona, Vice Chair of FHR Houston Chapter and Outreach director for the Harris County Republican Party.
Be sure you make time to be there with us on Saturday, August 24th. We begin at 8:30am and finish at 2:30pm. Lunch will be provided, and admission is free.
This will be the most interesting Republican forum of the year so save the date! We’ll be meeting on the Northwest side of Houston at Templo El Buen Samaritano, 6640 Long Point Rd., Houston, TX 77055. Click here for a map.
