Geri Bentley tells me that US Senate candidate Craig James is a late addition as a featured speaker. I think I’ll head out there and check him out. I haven’t had a chance to sit down and talk to him but Ed Hubbard gave him high marks when he met him at a function a few weeks back, says he was very personable and authentic. I got the same feeling at the debate in Austin, his first public appearance as a candidate.

He’ll fit in very well with this group. The CLTP is a very religious group and James is certainly wearing that on his sleeve (Faith, Family, Constitution). It’ll be interesting to watch him work the board members, all of whom have been huge Ted Cruz supporters for some time. Perhaps they’ve seen the light, as others have.

At any rate, it will be a fun, family friendly event. The Weather Channel forecast is for 30{997ab4c1e65fa660c64e6dfea23d436a73c89d6254ad3ae72f887cf583448986} chance of rain, so that might hamper attendance. But look at the bright side: you’ll have time to meet Mr. James one on one and find out if he’s really from “real street”.
