After an extensive search and a very open selection process, the Shoreacres City Council has unanimously selected Troy Harrison as the next Police Chief of Shoreacres!
I would personally like to extend a big thank you to the elected officials of Shoreacres for opening up this process and shining a big spot light on the selection process. No one can legitimately complain about the process. If the council had selected someone other than my choice, I would have supported them fully because of the process.
Congratulations to Chief Harrison! Now the hard part Chief – I’ve got my eye on you…. 😉
The city of Shoreacres made the right choice in selecting Troy Harrison as the new police chief.
The selection of a new Chief of Police for Shoreacres required screening of over 50 applicants with the three finalists made available at an informal reception a week ago for interviewing by the citizens. This gave many citizens the opportunity to form an opinion of the candidates and make recommendations to Council. The process demonstrated open government at its best and although it took months the end result was well worth the time and effort spent. My congratulations to Chief Troy Harrison and my thanks to the Council and Mayor for their dedication and promoting of citizens’ involvement during the process.
