Via KUHF and Judicial Watch which illustrates the extent the permanent political incumbency class is willing to pick and choose the winners & losers for political preservation. Single mothers in the Houston Housing Authority rental voucher probably lack disposable income to make campaign contributions, which explains why the HHA chose to cut $7 million from Houston rent subsidies:
“The Houston Housing Authority is cutting $7 million from its rental voucher program. The reason is the federal budget sequestration. Up to 10,000 local families could be affected.”
A single mother living in Stafford, Texas was interviewed for the article.
“A sixteen year old boy having to share a room with his mother? Or either me in the living room or him in the living room, uh..I mean, I’m doing the best I can, you know.”
The mother interviewed is trying to start her own catering business and those who despise fledgling entrepreneurs trying to get off welfare programs need to set an example of other moms who make similar attempts.
Sequestration, my a${997ab4c1e65fa660c64e6dfea23d436a73c89d6254ad3ae72f887cf583448986}.
Yet there’s still $878 million dollars to continue funding a TSA behavioral program designed to spot terrorists that, well….can’t spot terrorists. According to a recent Department of Homeland Insecurity Inspector General report:
“..$878 million dollars later the TSA cannot ensure that its behavior detection program is cost- effective or that it even works…”
If the SPOT program doesn’t work, why isn’t the TSA budget for this program being reduced through sequestration?
Because my dear friends, the TSA is represented by a union; specifically the American Federation of Government Employees union. And the AFGE PAC is a source of campaign contributions for both Republicans and Democrats who are friendly to federal employees.
Sequestration remains a phony crisis to convince taxpayers nothing can be done about Washington & even local spending.
Wake up Yvonne! Government spending is not about helping people; it is about enslaving them, making them dependent on government and Caesar’s serfs. Serfs should not expect any compassion from Caesar; he is incapable of compassion and knows only coercion.
Government is always and everywhere a predator; a necessary predator, but a predator nevertheless. We should give it as few opportunities to prey on us as possible.
Sequestration is a manufactured (phony) crisis designed to inflict as much pain on American citizens as possible so we cease our clarion call to reduce wasteful spending. HHA is governed by a board appointed by Mayor Parker & they used a phony reason (that she has already used, BTW) to cut money from a rental voucher housing program. Contrast that cut of $7 million to NOT cutting $878 million from an ineffective TSA program and you’ve NOT only a phony baloney crisis exposed, but an example of why Federal government unions need to be abolished.
