Saul Alinsky’s Rules For Radicals Number 4–make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.
Harris County court documents show HCC trustee-elect Dave Wilson filed a temporary restraining order against HCC Trustees Bruce Austin, Sandie Mullins etal on December 9th, 2013. According to the temporary restraining order and order to appear filed in the 334th District Court, Wilson sought to order HCC to maintain and not destroy election records related to the recent HCC Trustee race.
From the TRO:
“On this day, this court reviewed David B. Wilson’s Original Petition and Request for a Temporary Injunction with its attachments. David B. Wilson’s pleadings and affidavit clearly show the potential for irreparable harm if this Court does not enter a temporary restraining order. Further, Wilson has demonstrated that, as a matter of law, all election records are to be kept and maintained.
It is ORDERED that Sandie Mullins, Bruce Austin, Dianne Johnson, Neeta Sane, Christopher W. Oliver, Yolanda N. Flores, Herlinda Garcia, Carroll G. Robinson and Eva Loredo are hereby enjoined from altering, modifying, or destroying any document, ballot, report, email or other tangible thing relating to:
a. The election for HCC Board of Trustees for District II:…….”
As a result, on December 17th, during a Special HCC Board meeting, the election results were canvassed, Wilson was declared the winner of the HCC District II race and a certificate of election was issued.
Cause number 2013-73563 was then denied.
Well done Mr. Wilson; you out-Alinsky’d the Alinskyites!
And now to remove the execrable County Atty. Ryan.
Was the temporary restraining order filed because of a threat that the election results would be tampered with or destroyed? The TRO makes it sound as if each of the trustees were plotting against Wilson. Is that the case?
Jack,
Let me help you here. The TRO was filed because some anonymous person asked Vince Ryan to investigate whether or not Dave Wilson lived where he claimed. You remember Dave because you ran against him for Mayor, in case you had forgotten. So the question is why is he doing this when there are lots of Dems who do not live where they say they do. I will get back to you later on that one. So the question for a good Republican such as yourself is why a liberal Democrat County Attorney is using selective enforcement to remove a duly elected office holder. Now you may be one of those that believes over turning elections is a good idea. I would suggest to you it is not. One day you might get elected to something and Vince decides he does not like carpet bagging Republicans from New Jersey with mustaches who make stupid comments, and tries to remove you from office.
So I am giving you a Republican assignment which is to jump up and down and scream about a liberal Democrat abusing their power of office. You can also shout about official oppression, selective enforcement, over turning elections and such. Call your friend Steve Radack for some talking points about why Vince did not remove Jerry Eversol, the Edwin Harrison case with Chip Lewis, Subea, HCC property purchases, Mark Fury, Michael Surface, and the list goes on……..
It would also help help with your street cred to involve yourself in a few conservative causes. We have a new PAC tackling the pension issue and could use your financial support. I so look forward to you helping instead of shooting your mouth off all the time, cowboy up!
