Honestly, your time tomorrow night would be better spent volunteering at one of the Victory phone banks but if you’ve been there, done that, the Spring Branch Republicans will be holding an election eve “mixer” featuring lots of candidates, including Ted Cruz:
Spring Branch Republicans Election Eve Extravaganza Featuring Special Guests Michael Kubosh, Justice Jeff Brown, State Representative Sarah Davis, US Congressman Ted Poe, US Congressman John Culberson, and our next US Senator Ted Cruz!
Political Consultant Phil Owens will provide an overview of next year’s city elections and introduce Michael Kubosh who will discuss the current bond elections. Justice Jeff Brown (14th Court of Appeals) will talk about the Texas judiciary and some Texas history. State Representative Sarah Davis talks about her fight to keep our Republican majority in Austin. Congressman Ted Poe will provide his always enlightening and entertaining perspective on Washington. Congressman John Culberson will give us the latest from Capitol Hill and a rundown of the presidential election. Then we close the 2012 campaign season with some final words from Republican rock star, and our next US Senator, Ted Cruz!

Should be a lot of fun. Heck I ‘m going just to harass Phil Owens – not just a “political consultant” but the best ground game consultant in Harris County. And that is because he is a rare person of integrity in the bizarrely unethical world of Republican consultants in Harris County. Plus I’ll get a chance to poke Michael Kubosh about his anticipated run for mayor of Houston. I’m not a fan of the venue – it’s tough to take pictures in a dungeon and the food is nothing to write home about: but…the margaritas aren’t bad!
