I don’t really understand it but Dan’s going all out for Woodfill. BTW, Sen. Patrick, his name is Wood-fill, not Wood-field. Just sayn’. The Woodfill campaign put out this recording of Sen. Patrick this morning – sounds like Dan is on his mobile somewhere – and in the recording, Sen. Patrick, um, misleads (lies to?) the voters. Take a listen:

That video was brought to you by Richard Dillon, Chair of Precinct 496. Listen carefully to what Sen. Patrick says about Ed Hubbard. He states that Woodfield’s (oops, I meant Woodfill) opponent wants to “take the party in a different direction” and then says “now is not the time for our party to turn to the left”. Clever parsing of words there – he didn’t really say that Ed wants to go left, he just implied it.
What a crock. Ed Hubbard wants to return the party to its roots and get back to the business of winning elections. Move left? My arse. You’d think that Sen. Patrick would understand that but I think he must have other things on his mind. Such as his own party. The Dan Patrick party. Think not? Think again.
Check out his latest project “Independent Conservative Republicans of Texas“. Say what? Wait just a minute. Sen. Patrick just said that Jared Woodfield (Woodfill) was the greatest thing since sliced bread and has really helped Republicans. If that were true, would he start forming his own party? Here is what Sen. Patrick had to say:
“We are all proud members of the Republican Party and will remain so. However, this organization provides us with accountability outside of our political party,” the group’s founder Sen. Dan Patrick (R-Houston) remarked.
So proud of your party that you start a new one? So proud that you call yourself independent? Completely disrespect the Republican Party of Texas and Cathie Adams?
Very strange. Very strange indeed.
Hmm. Think about this. If Harris County Republicans re-elect Jared Woodfield (Woodfill) and continue their slide, Sen. Patrick could come to the rescue with his new party! Is that what this is about? More power for Sen. Patrick?
He wouldn’t do that.
Would he?
