Despite the fawning from the press over Texas Democrats creating a near riot in the State Capitol last week, slowing the passage of a few commonsense abortion regulations, it really wasn’t such a great week for them. I mean, seriously, from an “optics” point of view, Texas Dems lost and lost big. Yesterday, I wrote about the mother forcing her little girl to carry a sign about wanting to “blank” a Senator. Blogger Adam Cahn, who blogs at Cahnman’s Musings, managed to capture video of pro-abortion protesters countering some pro-lifer’s singing “Amazing Grace” with chants of Hail Satan.
Now, that is pretty bad. I mean, I don’t think it is as bad as the mother of the year we talked about but it is bad optics, particularly in a red state like Texas.
But I’m not the only one that thinks it’s bad. Satan wants no part of these Texas Democrats:
Dudes and dudettes, when even Satan thinks the Texas Dems are diabolical, they’ve got a problem.
LOL
BBBBWWWAAAAA!
There’s a South Park episode in here somewhere.
Good, at least now the difference between the two sides of our culture war are clear.
Ignore the politics of reverse psychology. This is the message…if truth matters.
I am sending you my humble opinion about abortion and the fight the Repubican Party is waging against women. Please take note of what is written in the Bible not as what is being imagined by the imaginative religious members of this party. Imagination can go either way, evil or good. If they are not of God….they are likely to harm God’s creation. The imagination based on feelings, emotion and unbiblical founded assumptions are used by those with dubious political intentions.
Kindly read for our common good:
Conservatives read but refused to accept what are written in the Bible, copy and paste this link on the link bar: http://joeschwartz.net/life.htm
If the mother’s life is in danger or the unborn fetus can not survive on its own then more research is needed if they are not available yet, how to perform abortion without inflicting pain on the unborn fetus and without endangering the life of the mother. If the reason for abortion is rape or incest, the government should not impede the woman’s decision to terminate her pregnancy at the earliest possible time. If pregnancy is brought into fruition so as to have a baby born, the government or society must provide support if the mother is single, poor, too young, and unable to provide appropriate care for the baby; provide this mother help through social safety networks. Adoption should be a process easy to do by both the girl and the adopting party through government facilitation.
We cannot solve the problem by just blaming one another. Let’s do something about it so that no one is left in such unconsolable situation that it is better to have died and not been born at all if women will just be subject to this ignorance and abuse by the adult males and ignorant righteous women in our society. What’s all these crocodile tears over expelled fetus and yet unyielding hateful and abusive attitude toward women who so need society’s support because of having been in such kind of situation…degraded, abused and used as political pawn?
“IN GOD WE TRUST” ….or “IN LOVE WE TRUST,” THESE TWO MANTRAS are the same FOR GOD IS LOVE. In everything we do, let love prevails. It should not be all about politics of greed and power.
I am sorry if my message in not in accord with your opinion but I pray that you glimpse some of God’s light yonder off.
I think the protestors were rude. If their goal was to point out the irony of singing Amazing Grace at a political protest in Pastor Perry’s Texas they should have sang this.

“Conservatives read but refused to accept what are written in the Bible”
Interesting take, scue. There are other passages from the Bible:
Jer. 1:4-5 – The word of the LORD came to me: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you.
Luke 1:41-42 – When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
Have you read and accepted that scripture?
Thanks for your response. ” You,” is referring to Christ, not to anyone created. “You” refers to the One who was to be born of Virgin Mary. “You” is not anyone who will be born and die and not go anywhere without the mediation of Christ who ascended to heaven…to prepare for a place for you and me. He is worthy of this glory to be prophesied to be born well ahead of time through Isaiah and Jeremiah because He is Himself, the Father and the Son, the only one Creator of all creations. Beyond our limited perceptions, His Holy Spirit will take care of them for us if we pray for Its guidance.
Bless you. You are a bible reader. If our hearts, minds, souls and strengths are dedicated to learning the truth through Jesus Christ, how can we go wrong? Let love prevail, not condemnation. Remember not too long ago, bible readers of the southern states were trading humans as slaves? Why do you think that was allowed to happen and why is it now with women…legislating to violate their bodies and reproductive choices? If God is love, how could Republicans become so callous as not to see the harm they would be inflicting to fully born human beings…those women in need of help? Could it be that they are being guided by an “unholy spirit” and not the Holy Spirit of the Truth, Love, and Mercy? Save those who are already born and had received their first breath of life from God. Leave the rest to God, “Thy will be done as it is in Heaven,” …. not your will or my will, nor the Republican Conservatives will but His Will.
“” You,” is referring to Christ, not to anyone created. ”
No, God was speaking directly to Jeremiah about his creation. And the infant that leaped in his mother’s womb was John the Baptist, not a fetus or mass of cells.
” If God is love, how could Republicans become so callous as not to see the harm they would be inflicting to fully born human beings…those women in need of help?”
I think your premise is flawed. If I understand this right, you don’t think Republicans (in particular) have a right to try and protect unborn human beings because you don’t think they care about born human beings. First, I’m speaking as a pro-life Catholic, not a Republican. And I can tell you that Catholics have active ministries to provide support for babies and women – even women who have had abortions. That is truth, love, and mercy. To suggest that those actions are guided by an “unholy spirit” is, frankly, offensive. And why do you think it’s God’s will for a woman to abort her child and not God’s will to call for pro-life conservatives to fight to protect the unborn?
Did the scripture says, as it was with John the Baptist as a leaping babe in his mother’s womb so it is for all human beings? How do you reconcile the following passages with the Catholic’s belief that life begins at conception?….After God formed man in Genesis 2:7, He “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and it was then that the man became a living being”. Although the man was fully formed by God in all respects, he was not a living being until after taking his first breath.
In Job 33:4, it states: “The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”
Again, to quote Ezekiel 37:5&6, “Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live. And I will lay sinews upon you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the Lord.” And then from there on we are given our free will to direct the path toward which we will be governed by the intention of our hearts.
Could it be that just as special John the Baptist role would be in God’s plan, his coming to the world would also be special and unique just as the birth of Christ? In the scriptures given above, did it say a leaping fetus inside a mother’s womb a sign that the fetus was already a living being as defined by God?
The Catholics imagination goes beyond what the scriptures say about when life begins. Women are given the responsibility to carry humankind’s next generation and must account for how they carry on this responsibility to God. A call for us to love one another is a call for our Republican Senators to do the best they could so that religions and state laws do not mix like in the Muslims’ sharia law. Why? In Muslim countries women suffers and are abused and dominated by men. And it will happen in America if we are not vigilant.
In Exodus 21:22 it states that if a man causes a woman to have a miscarriage, he shall be fined; however, if the woman dies then he will be put to death. It should be apparent from this that the aborted fetus is not considered a living human being since the resulting punishment for the abortion is nothing more than a fine; it is not classified by the bible as a capital offense. Life for life in the Old Testament was exacted if a husband caused his wife’s death but was exacted only a fine if he caused his wife’s miscarriage. An unborn fetus without God’s first breath is not a live human being as it is written. It needs to be born and only after it gasped for his/her first breath is it considered a living being.
In how many ways could we say the same truth as written before the Catholics accept that life begins only after God has given that being its first breath? It may have the bones, flesh, and skin or leaps as most unborn do but if it has not been breathed with God’s breath it is not a living being. Life begins, not at conception, but after God has given that fetus its first breath as soon as it is born out of the mother’s womb.
The Catholics are turning USA into another Muslim country where religious doctrines are made as government policies This is wrong and everyone of us must fight any religion that will impose its will upon us through governmental laws and policies.
Thanks for engaging in this very important topic. We need an enlightened discourse if nobody in our country is to suffer injustice in the hands of their own fellow citizens. Not all subscribes to the truths as they are written in the Bible because we are of diverse religious belief. But we all subscribes to what this country is all about: liberty and justice for all.
I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed a greater manipulation of God’s Word to justify the killing of unborn children. And with a little Catholic bashing thrown in to boot!
Nothing is manipulated, rather the Word of God is quoted verbatim and it’s truth highlighted to project it’s relevance and relatedness to the on-going debate about when life begins and the women’s right to make their own choices regarding their own bodies and reproductive function. My responses answer the question “Is abortion murder?” and “Does life begins at conception?” I did not generate any answer from my own idea. I quoted what are written in the Bible. The Bible is complete unto itself if the Holy Spirit is given the chance to lead us into reading His truths. Christ himself quoted the scriptures when being tempted by Satan. He did not add nor deleted from the scriptures. He quoted what were written to put Satan in his place, one whose intention is to challenge God’s godliness. We must follow the same example. If we do…the sooner we will become one in Christ.
Anyway, there is nothing more to add to what were said. It is up to the reader to reflect on what were presented, the relevance and implication to their own decisions. The litmus test for me is not how my decision will affect the manpower putting all it’s forces against women and her future in this country. As for the unborn child, I will follow my prayer, “Thy will be done as it is in heaven, for His is the power to do so, not mine or any other created human beings. This is the same premise why capital punishment is beyond men’s court to decide. The killing of any human being is murder however we turn those scriptures around to our own agenda. What God gives, God takes away. Life, no one has a hand on it but God. A woman is subject to her own conscience and she is accountable to God, not to men and his government. Just as Satan tries to do, men of dubious intention are trying to usurp and overpower God. If we continue to do it, we’ll be left to our own vices and the consequences can be observed in the chaos going on in countries where religions are interfering in affair of their states.
This is as far as I will engage in this topic. Thank you. We help create an atmosphere of discussions where His Words are truly invoked to intervene in our understanding of what really matters: the life of the woman for she has been born like all humanbeings and has equal claim to life. The unborn…they belong to heaven just as is written. But humanbeings are subject to the consequences of their own behavior and the unborn would sometimes become part of that consequences when circumstances are not conducive. God will take care of that matter, not us. All we are asked to do is to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Men can do that to women if they think of them as neighbors not as object of their contempt, if they knew how to love themselves.
You ignored or dismissed all scripture where The Word specifically identifies unborn babies as fully human while twisting a couple of passages about “breath” to justify killing those humans. That is a perversion of the Word. One thing you’re correct about – we will all answer to God in the end. I believe I’m standing on solid ground on that account.
ere are the Word of God as quoted:
After God formed man in Genesis 2:7, He “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and it was then that the man became a living being”.
In Job 33:4, it states: “The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”
Ezekiel 37:5&6, “Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live. And I will lay sinews upon you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the Lord.”
Exodus 21:22-23 “If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay on him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. 23 And if any mischief follow, then you shall give life for life, …”
God is Truth. Anything added or subtracted to His words as spoken is an assault to His Godliness because what He had spoken is changed to what He did not say, therefore, untruth.
Your are not on a solid ground if you depart from the Word He had spoken. But you can use all other words spoken by created being like you and me to sustain and justify our political and religious motives, you can even site what other saints or appointed as divine by our religious leaders and sage….it does not change the situation: they are not God’s Words. They are highlighting and reinforcing their own intentions which is in more likelihood will harm human beings considered by God as fully alive. Life for life, but just a fine if an unborn child is expelled untimely due to men’s actions and behavior toward the women. That’s an added scripture not my own words.
I did not ignore or dismiss all other scriptures. No other scriptures directly stated as God said what life or when life is and its value but the verses I quoted here. No created human beings can twist God’s word afar from His intention, the core of which is love. If men’s action will lead to unjust treatment of women, how could that action be of God? If a religion claims that they are of God, how can evil be committed by the very people who claim they are of God’s? http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/07/opinion/sunday/bruni-the-churchs-errant-shepherds.html?emc=eta1&_r=0
Let there be light in the minds and hearts of people of good will. I believe you want to be right with God. And I thank you for the opportunity to have my say in all of this. I am not to tell readers what to believe. I just have to share what I was given. They are not mine but understanding and wisdom I can’t have on my own.
Thanks.
That’s about the only truth you’ve spoken here. Good luck.
