Well, the 85th session of the Texas Legislature ended in high style yesterday with two or three Texas Democratic Representatives physically assaulting Republican Rep. Matt Rinaldi (R-115). Here is a video from Rep. Gene Wu (D-137) showing the ‘peaceful protest’ that started it all:

Did you hear the Democrats clapping and cheering on the ‘protesters’? This is what passes for ‘peaceful’ for today’s Democrats – disrupting the people’s House and fighting with Texas Department of Public Safety Officers while Democratic elected officials cheer them on.
Rep. Ramon Romero, Jr. (D-90) acknowledged that the group of Democratic legislators were ‘celebrating’ the ‘peaceful protests’:
As Reps. Cesar Blanco, Phil Cortez, and myself celebrated the enthusiasm for civic engagement being shown, Rep. Rinaldi felt the need to break up our appreciation by telling us he had called ICE to deport the protestors in the gallery. Our reactions were honest.
So we have a group of Democratic elected officials encouraging, cheerleading and celebrating the disruption of the House and fighting with DPS officers. Wonderful.
Then what happened? The entire session has been filled with hatred towards a few Texas Republican representatives, with Democrats constantly calling them racist and bigoted. The celebration of lawlessness by Democratic elected officials apparently was too much and Rep. Rinaldi finally had enough. When he saw signs proclaiming “I am illegal and here to stay.” and Democratic elected officials cheering them on, he decided to do something about it. He called the Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement and advised them that there were people illegally in the country in the balcony in House chambers.
Today, Representative Poncho Nevarez threatened my life on the House floor after I called ICE on several illegal immigrants who held signs in the gallery which said “I am illegal and here to stay.” Several Democrats encouraged the protestors to disobey law enforcement. When I told the Democrats I called ICE, Representative Ramon Romero physically assaulted me, and other Democrats were held back by colleagues. During that time Poncho told me that he would “get me on the way to my car.” He later approached me and reiterated that “I had to leave at some point, and he would get me.” I made it clear that if he attempted to, in his words, “get me,” I would shoot him in self defense. I am currently under DPS protection. Several of my colleagues heard the threats made and witnessed Ramon assaulting me.
Apparently Rep. Nevarez (D-74) has never heard the government’s directive: “see something, say something“.
So if you see something you know shouldn’t be there—or someone’s behavior that doesn’t seem quite right—say something.
So Rep. Rinaldi sees someone flaunting the fact that they are here illegally. He sees them breaking the law by fighting with Texas troopers. He calls ICE to report the problem. Nevarez says them are fighting words:
Nevárez told BuzzFeed News that he pushed Rinaldi after hearing him tell a group of about four Latino lawmakers “Fuck them, I called ICE on them.” They both started screaming at each other and that’s when Nevárez told Rinaldi they should take it outside.
“I did push him. Where I’m from, those are fighting words,” Nevárez told BuzzFeed News. “We should never condone pushing and shoving but the guy asked for it…I put my hands on him because he needed to get out of there.”
Nevárez said he was shocked to hear that Rinaldi said he would shoot him in self-defense because he never threatened his life.
While the protestors broke decorum by shouting and disrupting the session, Nevárez said the response shouldn’t be to call ICE on a group of brown people.
“How low and sniveling do you have to be to that kind of person, that guy is lower that rattler piss?” Nevárez said. “We need to get these protestors motivated to not just come out to disrupt the chamber but come out to vote.”
What a guy, eh? He admits he pushed and shoved him but hey, he asked for it, right? After all, seeing something and saying something doesn’t count if the person breaking the law is brown. No, that’s only for….who? Pink skin? Black skin? Olive skin? Do we need to consult a brown person before saying something after we see something?
Of course the left is celebrating their new heroes because that is what the left does. Hypocrisy, thy name is Texas Democrat. But about that being motivated to vote thing? You might want to ask President Clinton about that one. Oh wait…..

Thank you Rep. Rinaldi – finally one of our elected leaders shows he has a spine & the moral clarity to ask that our laws be enforced. The Democrat lawmakers in the Texas Legislature & most of the supposed Republican Hispanic TX Legislators have been encouraging & supporting illegal aliens breaking our laws, entering our nation illegally,& taking benefits/services they are not entitled to for as long as I’ve been following this issue (since 2005). Completely unacceptable behavior & Rinaldi did what should have been done years ago. If you want to know the reason why the Democrats are working so hard to keep illegal aliens here just watch the floor debates on anti-sanctuary city legislation in 2011 & recently in 2017. Doesn’t take long to understand where the true alligence of the Hispanic Democrats truly is – it is not in America. Don’t forget this has all been about flooding the nation with illegals with the goal of them turning into Democrat voters. Obama’s plan to destroy our nation via a flood of 3rd World people that we have no way of identifying. Statistics show that for 30+ years immigrants (legal & illegal) vote for Democrats. Ask yourself – if things were as the establishment GOP would have us believe (I.e., immigrants South of our border are really conservative & they will vote GOP if we let them in….) do you REALLY believe the Dems/Left would be fighting so hard to get them in??!! NO – they would not! They know how they will vote and the GOP & conservatives of every stripe need to examine the stats. This whole fiasco on the House floor just exposes the lie the open borders have been floating for years – “illegal aliens are so afraid of being deported – they are forced to live in the shadows” – RIGHT! That’s why they are holding signs proudly proclaiming they are here illegally & waving them in the faces of OUR State Troopers in our State Capitol for all to see! Guess that’s also why they show up at Legislative hearings to testify against legislation – PROUDLY proclaiming that they are here illegally. Support Matt Rinaldi & encourage more of our elected leaders to find their nerve – do their jobs & enforce our laws.

What a bunch of …., where has anyone encouraged illegal immigration, the ravings of someone that has no proof but it does come across as hate. Only Hispanic Republicans, I guess white Republicans are okay, but not white Democrats.
Almost everything that you posted are as false as what comes out of your leader’s mouth in Washington.

ICE in now on my speed dial – 866-347-2423. Matt Rinaldi should not have to the only one calling US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

It’s people like you that make my Hispanic colleagues (born in the US to parents who are citizens) feel like they, their wives, and their kids, have to carry their passports to travel from Eagle Pass and other border towns to Houston, just to keep from being hassled by the Border Patrol and DPS.
Rinaldi is an ass of the first degree, and more than a little thin skinned.

Becca,
This issue goes way deeper than simply wanting voters and both parties are in on it bar a few hence why nothing has been done about it to protect the citizens of this nation while we have raised hell trying to force them into action. These criminals have become emboldened by our sellouts.
God Bless Rinaldi
