US Senator to-be Ted Cruz continued his relentless campaigning in support of fellow Republicans this afternoon in Beaumont. Today’s recipient of the Cruz magic was State Rep. Randy Weber, who is locked in a tight race with Nick Lampson to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Ron Paul in the redrawn Texas CD14.

Rep. Randy Weber welcomes Ted Cruz to Beaumont
In his speech to supporters at Madison’s, Rep. Weber pointed out the most dangerous thing that Lampson will do if he is elected – vote for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker. He also pointed out that Lampson endorsed Barack Obama, and would support keeping Obamacare even as it destroys our country’s medical system. I thought it was interesting that he didn’t talk about Obama nixing the Keystone pipeline, which directly affects the economy of Beaumont. He did mention that Bill Clinton was in town last week supporting Lampson, and, oh, by the way, wasn’t he impeached and lost his license to practice law?
But the crowd was there to hear Ted and he didn’t disappoint, firing them up with his usual flair. It is great to see Ted out supporting other Republicans as he prepares for his first term as senator. I also saw former candidate Michael Truncale and Jefferson County Republican Party Chair Billy Oliver in attendance.
Rep. Weber is bringing out all of the big guns in the Republican Party of Texas to help him. In addition to Ted’s rally today, there will be two rallies tomorrow that you can attend or spread the word about.
Sen. John Cornyn will be with Rep. Weber in Angleton tomorrow morning at 10:00 am at Bates Park. Click here for a map.
Gov. Rick Perry with be with Rep. Weber in Friendswood tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 pm at Stevenson Park. Click here for a map.
You can volunteer to help Rep. Weber keep CD14 in fiscal conservative hands by clicking here and volunteering to block walk or phone bank. Any help will be much appreciated by the campaign.
