And you can watch it live:
Watch the event by visiting this web address:Even if you cannot be in the live audience tonight, you can still watch the US Senate Debate co-hosted by Empower Texans and the Texas Public Policy Foundation!
The live stream of the event will begin at 7p.m. tonight (Thursday, January 12) and a recording will be available almost immediately afterwards.
There will be a couple of “firsts” tonight. This will be Gov. Dewhurst’s first appearance in a general debate and I think that all of those people disparaging him for not going to all of the smaller format debates are going to be surprised by his performance. The second “first” will be Craig James’ coming out party. I have no idea why he is running, what he expects to gain from it, or what he has to offer. So that in and of itself will be worth watching. It will also be interesting to see Glenn Addison perform on a bigger stage – can he continue picking up momentum or will this be the beginning of the end for him? Of course Ted Cruz will be there and if I were a betting man, I’d bet that he goes after Gov. Dewhurst. And for many people, this will be the first opportunity they’ve had to hear from Tom Leppert and again, if I were a betting man, I’d bet that a larger audience will benefit him and his policies.
So kick back and watch this one. Maybe you can pick a candidate and then help them in their quest to replace Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.
