The Harris County Republican Party and many other groups are holding a rally tomorrow night to stand in opposition to Houston Mayor Annise Parker’s sexual predator protection ordinance. I realize that the organizers of this rally are putting this in a religious perspective and i disagree with their reasoning but make no mistake – the ordinance, as it now stands, protects perverts at the expense of innocent women and children. So I will support their efforts because it will take a broad coalition to defeat this monstrosity of a law.
Hopefully, concerned citizens can stop the “inevitable” passage of this shameful ordinance and focus on discrimination, not on the intimacy of restrooms and locker rooms.

Well, I think in public places we might want to see THREE separate bathroom facilities: One for women who want to use a women-only restroom; Next, a separate restroom for men who want to use a men-only restroon; and THIRDLY, a restroom for whomever does not care to use the women-only or the men-only.
Yes, this would get expensive — plumbing facilities for three restrooms rather than two, but it might make it unnecessary for our Mayor to feel that folks get discriminated against. I think this new proposal before City Council makes it sound as though Houston is an awful place. We do not need that!!

Really? Actually that would be FOUR different facilities. We now have one for men, one for women and one for access impaired (or whatever the politically correct term of the day is). But, hey it’s just the taxpayers money, so why not?
