Something fishy this way comes—

In an update to a story BJP first reported on September 15th (“Murder charges against Kyle Barnhill dropped”) and updated on September 19th (“Updated: Garrett legally blind?”) comes another twist in the case of Kyle Barnhill that points directly to his credibility of acting in self-defense when he stabbed Calvin Wade “Bubba” Garrett.

According to Arkansas public records, accused murderer Kyle Barnhill pled guilty to impersonating a police officer:

Let’s recap.

On May 24th, 2015 the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s office issued a press release describing the Sheriff’s Deputies response to reports of stabbings in the 14000 block of Willie Melton in Kendleton at around 1:30 AM on Sunday, 5/24/2015.

“Subsequent investigation revealed that two male victims, ages 34 and 29, were stabbed during an altercation over loud music playing following a Memorial Day BBQ at their residence.  The first victim (age 34) was treated at a Katy area Hospital and released with non –life threatening wounds to the leg”

The second victim (age 29) was transported via private vehicle by the suspect to an Emergency Care Facility in Sugar Land and was then transported via Life Flight to the Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition as of the time of this Press Release.”

After Garrett, the 29-year old, later died of his wounds, one of the two aggravated assault charges against Barnhill was upgraded to murder.

However an investigation by the Fort Bend Sheriff’s Office and the Fort Bend District Attorney’s Office showed evidence that Barnhill acted in self-defense because he believed that serious bodily injury or death was imminent was presented to a Fort Bend County grand jury who “no-billed” Barnhill, thus dismissing the charges against him.

Then we learned Garrett was legally blind.

Now not only have we learned Barnhill pled guilty to impersonating a police officer but the Fort Bend District Attorney has now asked Garrett’s family and residents of Fort Bend County to do the work we pay the Sheriff’s office to perform and bring forth any new evidence for confirmation:

Barnhill’s claim of self-defense is becoming as fishy as Clockmed’s claim of inventing a clock
