This is a smart move by Mr. Wolfe. His ill-advised challenge to a sitting Republican was not well received by fellow Republicans. That challenge, combined with his strange behavior during his term in office, threatened to derail his life goal of someday becoming “a U.S. Senator, U.S. President, and eventually Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court . . . that is if we survive this Obamanation.” (Pulled from his Facebook profile before he blocked my access.)
Charles Kuffner over at Off the Kuff has chronicled Mr. Wolfe’s misadventures since 2007. Click here for a sample. One of the more amusing reads is a letter from HCDE Superintendent John Sawyer to Mr. Wolfe attempting to help him correct his behavior. Note that Mr. Wolfe had the staff of the HCDE drive him around on a tour. Amongst other things.
So, all in all, a good day for the HCRP. Remember, boys and girls, slapping a Republican sticker on your truck isn’t necessarily good for the party.
Here is a picture of Mr. Wolfe with his BFF, Chris Daniel, who is currently running for County Clerk against a very experienced opponent, Paul Dwight.
And here is one with newly elected Houston City Council member Al Hoang, who has some ‘splainin to do himself. Did he rent a room at that house? If so, did the homeowner submit an accurate exemption filing? Why did he live apart from his wife for a year and a half? When will he file revised campaign finance reports? Hopefully, Mr. Hoang can clear all this up but telling reporters that “you are picking on me” isn’t going to cut it.
I know, good Republicans don’t criticize other Republicans and certainly don’t quote Democrats like Charles Kuffner. Oh well. I’m one of those people that think we should have our own house in order before we start trying to clean up the other guy’s.
