I’m delighted to be one of the moderators! But mostly I’m delighted to be on a panel with Ted and Catherine. Ted is the smartest newsperson I’ve ever encountered – there may be someone smarter and quicker but they don’t live in Texas. And Catherine – well, if you’ve read BJP anytime at all, you know what I think of her. One of the few people I’d stand in front of an oncoming train for. No one in the conservative movement has more integrity than Catherine.
And for the haters out there, be sure and notice that Texas State Sen. Leticia Van de Putte has been invited. King Street Patriots are one of the few tea parties that stick to their mission of giving all candidates an opportunity to speak to their members. Remember this? Or this? I hope that Sen. Van de Putte participates.
So be there! And be early because I’m positive it will be a full house.

What about the Libertarian? Or the Green? (She lives in Houston…)
PDiddie, I don’t know if they were invited or not this time, I only know what was on the flyer. I do know that candidates from both of those parties have been invited and have participated in the past at events sponsored by the King Street “Thugs” as you call them. Interesting that you would call folks that want fair elections “thugs” but turn your back on real voter intimidation such as that we saw in Philadelphia. I guess you would call those folks “patriots”.
