True to KWTP principles, there is no charge to attend this event for either citizens or officials and candidates.
Especially that last line:
True to KWTP principles, there is no charge to attend this event for either citizens or officials and candidates.
Imagine if the Harris County Republican Party would adopt those same principles. Instead, they support lazy incumbent judges that do not want to get out in the community, meet voters, and have to answer questions about their philosophy.
I talked to KWTP’s Jim Lennon about this yesterday. They are going to have tables set up for each race – if there are multiple candidates for a specific race, they will all be at the same table so that voters can talk to them individually and get a better sense of who to vote for and whose petition to sign. Forget about automatically signing the incumbent’s petition, that is nonsense. Back in the 2010 primary, KWTP sponsored the very best candidate forum I’ve ever been to. This is a group that is a model for other tea party groups to follow.
So spread the word and help regular, hard working Republican judicial candidates get enough signatures to forego the filing fee.

The problem with this is their limiting it to GOP candidates — might interfere with tax exempt status.
