Via Drudge Report headlines from last Saturday September 7th.
The video headline DID link to a recent Pete Olson townhall, but in true form, the illegal aliens who so courageously filmed their Occupation of Pete Olson’s townhall retreated back into the YouTube shadows once sunlight was thrust on their true intolerance for the civil society.
Oh, I’m sorry..you need a live link don’tcha?
Well, it seems the peaceful, tolerant, illegal alien, First Amendment censorship-promoting mob protestors wearing Texas Organizing Project and Mia Familia Vota t-shirts who disrupted Texas Congressman Pete Olson’s townhall have now cowardly marked their YouTube video as private.
ALIPAC reposted the video here.
After Pete Olson told his constituents the Senate bill would not pass the House of Representatives, the Illegal Alien Occupiers shouting “mic check, mic check” stormed the stage Olson was speaking from. Displaying what a lawless mob this group of Occupiers are, they demanded SB744 and comprehensive immigration reform be passed before being escorted out of the auditorium by police.
..and I’m not so sure I would want a First Amendment censorship- promoting “young man” enlisting in the US Navy (we’ve already had one of those in our Armed Forces, thank you very much) or working for the TSA.
Maybe the Texas Republicans supporting the “Texas Solution” and the cheap labor lobby will chime in and let me know if any of these Texas Organizing Project and Mia Familia Vota folks are currently employed in the Harris County/ Fort Bend County area . I’m not so certain I would trust my personally identifying or credit card information with them or the companies they work for.

And they think that practice of storming and disruption helps? I question their intelligence. Good job Yvonne.

Arrest, prosecute, and deport.
Manuel Barrera says
How did the author know they were “illegal aliens”? Was it color of their skin? Their facial features? They had Spanish words on their shirts? They spoke Spanish? The government now marks “illegals” with the red scarlet letter “I”
Difficult to take anyone seriously that throws labels around.
Used to be Republican pct judge some years ago, but writers like the one that wrote this article made me realize that to too many Republicans, I would always be an “illegal” first until proven differently.

Looks like the video is back up for now.

gtotracker, the video posted by the illegal alien First Amendment censorship-supporting mob is still marked private. The ALIPAC video remains up for all to watch.
Manuel, the notion of a colorblind and Rule of Law-abiding, Bill of Rights- supporting civil American society just isn’t your cup of tea, is it?
bob42 says
Regardless of Manuel’s preferences in regard to tea, his question is valid. Were the rude people at the townhall illegal aliens or not?
“Truth Matters.”

bob42 and Manuel,
Watch the video and your question will be answered.
Manuel Barrera says
I saw the video and the comment for it “Illegal Alien supporters”. There is a big difference between supporters and being “illegal”.
Only one person seemed to indicate that he was here in this country undocumented and that was the speaker.
Until the Republican Party stops condoning the labeling of Americans that do not have European features as illegals, this “Mexican” looking American will not support the Republican Party.
By the way for those of you that read history some of us “Mexican” looking illegals had relatives that were here in Texas when the illegals like Sam Houston, Davy Crockett, and William Travis were the “wetbacks”.
gtotracker says
I assume you are not referring to the Aztecs, Wacos, Tonkowas, or any peoples prior to the original Spanish speaking wetbacks. Why is history okay with the wholesale slaughter and land taking by Europeans of Spanish speakers but damning those who did while speaking English? If you actually read history the English speakers were invited in to prevent French speakers from taking this land from the Natives because the Spanish speakers could not do it.
gtotracker says
Most natives were not wiped out by who? Incas, Aztecs, Mayans? Wow. Most of the native American cultures later encountered by English speakers were riding Spanish mustangs.
Moses Austin received a land grant from the Spanish government. (Some Frogs had crashed the party looking for gold) His son later took it up because the European powers recognized Mexico’s claim to land where no European language was spoken. Do a little research.
bob42 says
As suggested, I watched the video again. ALIPAC describes the rude people as supporters of amnesty, which is more accurate and less presumptive than the lede of this article. In the video I heard some of the rude people say, “I was born here!” and, “I grew up here!”
There is no evidence indicating that anyone has the capability to choose their country of birth. Similarly, minor children of illegal immigrants (“I grew up here!”) lack the autonomy and legal standing to avoid being here illegally.
Immigration reform is a complex issue. Purely punitive and simplistic appeals to emotions based in xenophobia, such as “End birthright citizenship!” and “Arrest, prosecute, and deport” are neither comprehensive nor viable solutions.
gtotracker says
My last reply is out of sequence with yours. Do a bit of research on the Yaqui Peoples. Mexico was conducting pograms to wipe them out well into the 1920’s. If you really want to pick nits Houston and Crockett did cross the Red or Sabine without papers. Austin had legal land grants first from Spain and later Mexico to settle colonists. Then there happened the civil conflict between the Federalists and Constitutionalists between Mexico and their states. The Texans ended up on the winning side in the end. Here anyway. The European colonists in the Yucatan did not fare so well.
