Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, mark your calendars for the event of the primary season! Harris County District Attorney Pat Lykos will square off against challenger Mike Anderson in a real debate, no fluff, no puff, just the facts. There is enough rumor and innuendo, name calling, video editing, and outright lyin’ going on – it is time for some truth. Because, well, you know, truth matters. A lot.
It’s a little early for all of the details but not too early for you to block out this date: Thursday, May 3rd, 7 pm at the King Street Patriots headquarters. I can tell you that Scott Braddock will be one of the moderators – I can’t tell you how thrilled I was when he agreed to do it. In my opinion, there isn’t a finer political journalist in the Houston market than Scott. But…there will also be two other moderators that will add much to the event. We’ll let you know more about them as we get closer to the bell.
Now as for the opportunity to team up with Catherine Engelbrecht and the King Street Patriots, well, there isn’t a finer group in the country and I’m more than thrilled that they are allowing us to put this event together with them. If you haven’t been to one of their meetings, this is the time for you to get up off the couch and get out there!
So stay tuned, lots more info to come but do mark your calendars. You don’t want to miss this one. Remember, the winner of this race will have to carry the Harris County Republican ticket in November. There is a lot at stake and you need all of the information available so that you can make the right choice.
Don’t forget! Thursday, May 3rd, 7 pm, King Street Patriots headquarters. Be there or be square!
