I think “probed” is a much better definition of what is happening over at the Harris County DA’s office than “investigation”. Don’t you? Oh, you thought that the FBI was “investigating”? Really? Huh. I’d bet that most FBI agents have a different definition of “investigate” than a reporter humping for a story does. And I’d bet that by now the DA feels “probed” in a way that has nothing to do with investigating, if you get my drift.
But the kids on the block are giddy today because the “Ted Oberg Investigates” page on ABC13’s website has yet another story screaming about Pat Lykos with a salacious headline, “FBI, Rangers questioning staffers at DA’s office“, as if they were being handcuffed and hauled off to Guantanamo. My guess is that going to lunch is not quite as harsh as that little piece of Cuba but your mileage may vary.
Here’s the deal. When the FBI or the Rangers receive a complaint, they check it out. ¿Comprende? They didn’t go running (or riding their horses) into downtown Houston based on a few hits from a reporter. Someone had to lodge a complaint, then someone had to check it out. It really is that simple.
Wanna bet that nothing comes of their “investigation”? No? I didn’t think so.
But, on the old “conspiracy” side, it sure ’nuff keeps this thing in play politically. You know it does.
Of course, the question is, who filed the complaint? While I was over at the RHCIA meeting last night, there were a lot of people trying to figure it out. Was it Lewis? Newman? Or that dastardly Blakemore dude? No, it has to be Mike Anderson himself!!
Who knows who filed it? It wasn’t Anderson because he was too busy campaigning and I’m the chief witness to it. And those agencies are a bit too smart to let those other three names play them like that. No, my guess it is one of those “anonymous” posters that like to scream like banshees on blogs and that actually does work at the Harris County DA’s office. That complaint would be taken up under the priority issue of the FBI called “Color of Law Abuses“. But again, I ask you, do you want to bet that nothing comes of this complaint? Of course not.
Now, I don’t have any super duper inside information or anything, but if I were a betting man, I’d bet that the anonymous blog commenter that renamed me “Pig Folly” was the culprit. Anyone that intelligent would have to have the inside scoop at the DA’s office.

I take your bet but you have to spot me a no evidence whatsoever and at least one complaint filed by an anonymous Murray poster..
