Here is the agenda:
As I noted yesterday, we need to start paying attention to this group. They have a HUGE budget and the four commissioners treat their precincts as little fiefdoms. With OUR money.
This is just the start – we will begin to monitor them closely and by the next election, we will have a very good grasp of what they are up to.
Just from this agenda, there are questionable funding requests:
- $22,600 to send two Sheriff’s office employees to Los Angeles for 24 days
- $2,604 for a Justice of the Peace retreat
- $9,900 to send two Sheriff’s office employees to Israel for Homeland Security training
- $12,651,324 for temporary personnel at the Hospital District
That is just from a quick glance. We must start focusing on spending at every level of government.
