Sheila Jackson Lee with her perpetual motion mouth has long been truly embarrassing to the city of Houston. Jackson Lee has now been joined by her congressional colleague Al Green..
On several occasions since last spring, Green has called on the House to impeach President Trump, calling him “unfit” for office. Recently he cited that the president’s decision to fire former FBI Director James Comey constituted an obstruction of justice.
But on Wednesday he forced the House to vote on two articles of impeachment against the president. Green did not accuse Trump of obstruction of justice or of collusion with the Russians. Instead he accused Trump of high misdemeanors for associating with “White Nationalism, Neo-Nazism and Hate” and for “Inciting Hatred and Hostility.”
“Friends, whether we like it or not,” wrote Green, “we now have a bigot in the White House who incites hatred and hostility.”
The House immediately and overwhelmingly rejected Green’s resolution with 364 votes to table it and 58 Democrats supporting it.
When Green calls for Trump’s impeachment, he is not speaking for a majority of Houstonians. He may not even be speaking for a majority of his congressional district constituents who keep reelecting him to office. But he’s getting the attention he’s been lacking while in the shadow of Jackson lee. It’s too bad we cannot impeach Green!
I wonder how people in other parts of the country are judging us when we repeatedly elect two such clowns – Jackson Lee and Green – to represent us in the U.S. Congress.

Unfortunately I live in Rep Green’s district and I keep voting for anyone who runs against him. Considered-him worthless and now he is an equal embarrassment. However, HCRP never finds any viable candidate to oppose him, never uses their collective intellect to campaign against him and never funds an opposition candidate that would be appropriate. All part of HCRP tacitly abandoning the southeast part of Houston, in favor of west side and north side candidates.

AL Green and Sheila Lee are prime examples of gerrymandering. Until something is done about that, it would be a waste of time and money for the HCRP to try to unseat either one of them.

Normally, I don’t even think about Rep. Green. He’s in a safe district, and I supposed he represented his constituents satisfactorily. However, this impeachment crap he’s been spouting over the past few months is a major embarrassment. Plus, his sexual harrassment allegations are also a problem that need to be addressed. Bottom line, Green has turned into a real ass clown.

Warren, what!! Sexual harrastment came out on Al Green, whem? Where can I go read all about it. Thanks

Green’s had his 15 minutes of infamy, now he can slither back to being the ineffective Congressman he’s always been
