Heh, I’ve been wanting to use that title ever since Dr. Steven Hotze and the Conservative Republicans of Texas started using it. In case you don’t know, Dr. Hotze and team are trying to force the Texas House to have a vote on SB6, the bill that would keep men from entering the public restrooms, locker rooms and showers that women and children use. Thus far, they’ve had little success and it looks like the guys and gals that want to pee with the LGBT are going to take home the victory.
But Dr. Hotze, et al. are nothing if not persistent. So today he sent out a list of the Texas House Republicans that have vowed to support a vote on SB6 and those that haven’t. Here is the list of those that, at least publicly, refuse to support a vote on the bill.

No one on that list surprises me except maybe Tom Craddick.
I am a bit surprised by the way that TexasGOPVote.com is fighting against this bill. This is the website that supports Sen. John Cornyn and Rep. Ted Poe among others, including the above mentioned Texas State Rep. Jason Villalba. I get that they’ve never been ‘conservative’ on the whole and I should have known something had changed when they attacked an attempt to rein in public unions, but it still surprises me. Of course, they’ve been for open borders and against any form of border control since their inception.
Check out the list of posts on their website about SB6 in the last three weeks:
- Villalba: Respectfully, Dan Patrick is Just Wrong on Bathrooms (yes, that is Rep. Jason Villalba)
- Texas Conservative Christian Mother Speaks Out Against SB6 “Bathroom Bill”
- Countering Lt. Gov. Patrick, the Texas House Rolls Out Its Version of Privacy Bill
- Perryman: The Economic and Fiscal Price of Restricting Bathroom Access
- Bathroom Bill Debate (a page to make certain you know that they want to pee with the LGBT)
- Hotze’s Bathroom Bill Campaign Just Latest Episode in Long-Running Anti-Gay Crusade (FWIW, I ain’t anti-gay, just anti-stupid – passing laws that allow men to head into women’s and children’s locker rooms and showers is stupid)
- Rev. Kim Rogers speaks at Texas Capitol in opposition to SB 6 and HB 2899
- Conservative Woman Business Leader Speaks Against Bathroom Bill
- Texas Conservative Speaks Against Bathroom Bill
And that’s just in the past three weeks. I’m guessing they will have daily posts from ‘conservatives’ from now until the bill dies from a lack of vote. If you ask me, you don’t have to be conservative or liberal to be against allowing perverts to lawfully enter women’s and children’s locker rooms and showers but what do I know?

My hunch is if you put that list next the one with repubs endorsing Joe Strausss there’d be much agreement. But after seeing what the federal repubs just funded it appears we really do not have a party of opposition to the dems. It’s like a march cadence…”left, left, left right left. left, left, left right left.”
Howie Katz says
I have a simple solution to the transgender bathroom problem. If a person has a dick, that person uses the boys/men restroom. If the person does not have a dick, that person uses the girls/ladies restroom. The same when it comes to shower and locker rooms. That’s how the law ought to read.
Daniel James says
It is that simple.
David Jennings says
I think that says it in a nut shell.
Greg Degeyter says
Yup, That solves the issue.
Fred Flickinger says
Luckily you didn’t use the word testicles. The woman’s restroom would be overflowing the in the State Capital.
Libertarian says
I remember when being a conservative meant you didn’t legislate to solve problems that don’t exist. Can’t wait to see you, Howie, Hotze and the rest of you Xian Taliban troglodytes lose this one.
David Jennings says
Xian Taliban? What is that?
You’re not much of a libertarian if you want to take away the privacy rights of women and children. And FWIW, you and Annise Parker are the ones wanting laws to solve problems that don’t exist. Cross dressers have used whatever restroom they dress up as for thousands of years. Instead of leaving well enough alone, you want to force your beliefs down others’ throats. You are the whatever Taliban.
DanMan says
I can remember when Texas was dominated by conservative democrats. Your point about problems that don’t exist doesn’t exist anymore now that democrats have embraced the crazy on every issue.
