Sen. Hutchison went first, explaining why she decided to stay in the Senate during the race.

Next up was Gov. Perry, attacking Washington (aka Sen. Hutchison) and taking a little bit of liberty with the truth by claiming he fulfilled his promise to lower taxes on small businesses. He left out a minor point: he was the one that imposed the higher taxes in the first place.

Then it was Debra Medina’s turn. She took on Gov. Perry’s inability to change the tax structure in Texas, pointing out that through high property taxes, we are basically renting our own property from the state.

I’ll give the nod in the first go-round to Medina. Can’t imagine Sen. Hutchison lifting that sack-o-feed or Gov. Perry getting dirty (except in the political arena, that is).
