Harris County residents of the newly created CD-36 will have an opportunity to hear from the two runoff candidates vying for the Republican nomination tomorrow night at the regular meeting of the Clear Lake Area Republicans. From the CLAR email:
Please join the Clear Lake Area Republicans for our regular July meeting tomorrow night, Tuesday, July 17th, to participate in a forum for the candidates in the GOP run-off for the new Congressional District 36, Steve Stockman and Stephen Takach. The event is being co-sponsored by the Harris County Republican Party. As always, our social time will begin with refreshments at 6:30 p.m., and our program will begin at 7:00 p.m. Once the forum begins, we estimate it should last about 1 hour and 15 minutes, so the program should be over by about 8:30 p.m. We meet in the Second floor courtroom of the Harris County Courthouse Annex at 16603 Buccaneer in Clear Lake, between and behind the intersections of Diana and Bay Area Boulevard, and El Camino and Bay Area Boulevard (behind the Freeman Library). If you are like me and live in CD36 but haven’t made up your mind between these two men, this will be a great opportunity to gather more information and perhaps make a decision. Ed Hubbard will be the moderator and the forum will include separate presentations from each man, with plenty of time for questions. Hope to see you there!
