The revisionists of history who want to remove the statues of Confederate war heroes gave the white supremacist scumbags an excuse to crawl out from under their rocks
The Democrats and some Republicans are putting all the blame for the Charlottesville riots solely on the Alt-Right, white supremacists, white nationalists, the KKK and neo-Nazis. They conveniently ignore the fact that counter demonstrators showed up looking for a fight. And they even blame President Trump because of the rhetoric he used during the presidential campaign.
But if you want to put the blame where it really belongs, put it on the revisionists of history who want to remove the statues of Confederate war heroes because, according to a few activists both black and white, the statues are a hurtful and tearful reminder to blacks of slavery.
It’s the removal of those statues that gives the white scumbags an excuse to crawl out from under their rocks. The white supremacy vermin knows that by coming out in the open with a public display of their regalia and flags is very likely to result in violent clashes with their opposition. The white supremacists would hardly attract any attention if they couldn’t take up a cause that is also supported by many decent people in the South.
A few activists have managed to rile up some black folks and white liberals into believing that those Confederate statues are a hurtful reminders to blacks of slavery.
If those statues are a hurtful reminder to blacks of slavery, they should just suck it up and live with it. It’s part of our history, shameful as it may be.
One of my nephews lives in New Orleans and is very liberal. He says 90 percent of the blacks there don’t even know who Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis and P.G.T. Beauregard were. To New Orleans blacks the now removed statues were merely repositories of pigeon poop. And so it is with blacks throughout the South. They just don’t know who the pigeons are pooping on, or if they do know, they could care less.
So it’s not the white supremacists and the counter demonstrators who are to blame for the Charlottesville riots. And it certainly isn’t President Trump.
However, those around the president finally persuaded Trump to be politically correct by calling out the names of the perceived culprits. This is what Trump said on Monday:
“Racism is evil — and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans.”
Well and good, but that’s letting the real culprits off the hook.
In this case a bunch of agitators and politicians want to remove the Lee statue. It is downright reprehensible to revise or erase parts of our history. These activists are not really speaking for the majority of blacks. It’s the same with the agitators that are demanding that the Washington Redskins change their name. I’ll venture to say that 90 percent of Native-Americans don’t give a shit about sports team names and school mascots.
The white scumbags would have remained under their rocks and all would have been peaceful in Charlottesville it were it not for those that are demanding removal of Confederate monuments. But you’re not going to hear that’s where the blame for the riots really belongs.

Word is that Kessler guy that pulled the permits for the demonstration came out of Obama’s Organizing for America about 9 months ago. This was not an organic gathering. Do a little research on Robert Creamer and you will find this is what he does for a living.
And I agree with you about the statues. If statues of long dead soldiers offends you today, you have more problems than you know.
Ross says
What history is being erased when statues are removed? Especially statues of traitors that took up arms against the United States. They were lucky they weren’t executed. Why should Lee, Davis, et al be honored with a special place in the middle of a courthouse square?
Howie Katz says
Ross, let me suggest you get off that traitors crap!
Public Law 85-425 was enacted May 23, 1958. This law recognizes all members of the armed forces of the Confederate States of America the same as veterans of the Union during the Civil War. The act also provided pensions to the widows of veterans who served in the army and navy of the Confederacy.
Public Law 85-811 was enacted August 28, 1958. This law directed the Secretary of the Army to furnish Government headstones or markers at the expense of the U.S. for the unmarked graves of “soldiers of the Union and Confederate Armies of the Civil War.”
These two laws hold that soldiers who fought for the Confederate States of America during the Civil War are American heroes, the same as those who fought for the Union.

If Ross was looking for traitors he’d look no further than the establishment in both parties, they cant sell us out fast enough.
Thanks Howie, spot on.

One more thing, It wasnt so long ago we had the Dukes of hazard that most watched as young’ins, what was the name of their car?

Dems have lost their momentum and as usual use projection as they return to their political playbook. Nazis are the new target. You know, the ones that promised free government health care, free government schools, silencing free speech, the destruction of public art and history and of course the promotion of racial intolerance.
Looks like the Nazis offed one of their own. Watch the blossoming Seth Rich story.

Hopeless delusion. Keep making excuses; your party politics are becoming ever more marginalized.as you try to excuse “good people” who want to keep celebrating Confederate traitors — and don’t hold up laws passed in 1958 as a justification. Those laws — and Confederate monuments erected in that time — were based in white reaction to the beginnings of the civil rights movement. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

LOL. Funniest line I’ve seen in a long time!

I’d be more impressed with Democrat complaints if they were accompanied with calls to remove Robert (Grand Kleagle) Byrd’s name from all public roads, buildings and installations. Along with demonizing Woodrow Wilson (a notorious racist), Margaret Sanger (racist, eugenicist and Nazi sympathizer), Planned Parenthood (racist organization), Al Gore, Sr., William Fulbright, and the Democrat Party.

It was a shameful history, but it’s our history. Learn from it and leave it alone.

The statute in question in Sam Houston Park is of a Spirit/Angel honoring our war dead who died on a battlefield a long way from Houston. The women, most likely democrats, raised the money to erect the statute 29 years before Democratic progressive liberal President Franklin Delano Roosevelt nominated Hugo Black to the Supreme Court, who was the general counsel to the Ku Klux Klan. Hugo Black served on the US Supreme Court until 1971. Ten year after I was born. Think about it.
Txlt44 says
Erasing history all over the South will not change history. One of the largest Confederate monuments ever built is being completed in Orange, Texas. You can gaze upon it from I-10.
Gary D says
Hugo Black was never the general counsel to the KKK. He had joined for two years in the 20’s at the height of its popularity and later said it was a mistake and that he joined to get votes in Alabama.
Anyone who repeatedly mentions that most politicians in the South were racist Democrats must think others are as ignorant as they are. Everyone knows the racist Democrats switched to being Republicans over Civil Rights as that became a Democratic platform and the GOP embraced a “Southern Strategy” to get their votes.
The name of the statue is “Spirit of the Confederacy”.
Rebels were traitors and the states left over the right to keep blacks as slaves. Read the declarations and newspaper editorials on why the states seceded.
Nearly all the statues honoring Confederate heroes were erected as Jim Crow laws were being enacted and the KKK was putting Blacks in their place.
“In all the non-slave-holding States, in violation of that good faith and comity which should exist between entirely distinct nations, the people have formed themselves into a great sectional party, now strong enough in numbers to control the affairs of each of those States, based upon the unnatural feeling of hostility to these Southern States and their beneficent and patriarchal system of African slavery, proclaiming the debasing doctrine of the equality of all men, irrespective of race or color–a doctrine at war with nature, in opposition to the experience of mankind, and in violation of the plainest revelations of the Divine Law. They demand the abolition of negro slavery throughout the confederacy, the recognition of political equality between the white and the negro races, and avow their determination to press on their crusade against us, so long as a negro slave remains in these States.” from DECLARATION OF CAUSES: February 2, 1861. A declaration of the causes which impel the State of Texas to secede from the Federal Union.

Sorry, I’m from Indiana. Last I checked it was a state that remained in the Union. My ancestors fought, without any particular distinction, in the Union Army. At the close of the war they returned home, started businesses, raised families, and went on with their lives. They were Republicans. I’ve been an active member of the party for most of my adult life. I don’t give a damn about the Southern Strategy. Southerners are Americans. I’m more concerned about the Obama Strategy that’s playing out as we dither in the blogosphere. The Obama Strategy is the child of the Cloward Piven Strategy.
Here’s a primer from the wiki page

Did you notice where this strategy originates? Yep, Columbia University. BO learned from the masters.
Someone is trying very hard right now to pull off a coup of the POTUS. They’re using this incident (Charlottsville) as a cudgel to bash the opposition. They are really on the brink, hence the intensity of the hour, of ending the USA. I sincerely hope they fail. I suspect that I would be accused, tried, and convicted of thought crimes if their regime came to power. That thought crime might be as innocuous as believing the Biblical story of Creation. That’s how the net is working.
I’ve never been involved with any of the various hate groups (groups to be hated) that the left continuously strives to associate me (you) with. They’ve played that game for as long as I can recall. 30 years ago they tried to insinuate that my College Republican club was “Nazi.” Snide bastards. They really just want to provoke you to anger and then cower and call you the bully.
Anyways, I’m sick of the current discourse. Please, reroute. Otherwise it’s best to go dark.
Don Hooper says
Hugo Black was a not a mere member of the Klan and was their lawyer. Black’s appointment was done to gain clan support and was suggested to FDR by a Houstonian. You clearly do not know the law or facts surrounding Justice Black.
The aburd argument that all racist democrats left the party and joined the Republican is equally false. The racist party that the Democrats were pre 1964 Civil Right/1965 Voting was the same party post Civil Rights.
I know this because the same racist Democrats kept electing Klansman Senator Robert Byrd, Governor George Wallace, Senator Fulbright, Senator Gore, that would be Al Gore’s daddy, and many others as DEMOCRATS.
A false democratic talking point does not change the fact Democrats were the same people before and after 1965. The racist Klansman continued to be elected as Democrats. The Klansman did not come over to the Republican Party and win any elections, some tried. All the racist remained Democrats as elected officials. Hillary Clinton’s mentor was Klansman Robert Byrd, and Bill Clinton’s mentor was the racist Senator Fulbright. These folks were all Democrats. The Democrats have always used race as a political tool. It is why they created and operated the 2nd Klan as a party tool in 1915.
LBJ can explain all this to you.
Republicans have nothing to be ashamed of and Abraham Lincoln can explain the rest.

you know what the KKK, antifa and BLM all have in common? They are all products of the democrats. As are most of the kids fronting as the edgy new alt-right, Unite the Right, white nationalists.
