U.S. Senate Candidate Craig James Announces Campaign Steering Committee Filled with Converts from Other Candidates
“I signed up for Ted Cruz a long time ago and I made a mistake.”
Dallas, Texas—United States Senate candidate Craig James today announced the formation of his campaign Steering Committee. Most notable on the list of members are the number that have switched their support from all three of the other candidates to Craig James.
“Since the Belo debate nearly two weeks ago, my campaign has been astonished and humbled by the groundswell of support for the campaign,” stated Craig. “Grassroots leaders across the state are informing us that they are switching their support for other candidates to our campaign. In the next three weeks, we expect this number to explode, catapulting us into the run-off.”
Most of Craig’s new support has come from former Ted Cruz supporters, including Jim Lowe, who stated, “I signed up for Ted Cruz a long time ago and I made a mistake. Count me in as a solid Craig James voter in the Republican primary on May 29th.”
In switching her support to Craig James, grassroots leader Tracye Bradford commented, “His boldness in his faith was what so clearly stood out to me at the debate and since. The integrity of a person is invaluable and knowing that someone is firmly rooted in the faith and family is the most critical foundation you could want in a leader.”
Key members of the Steering Committee include:
Roy Bailey, Co-Chairman
Daryl “Moose” Johnston, Co-Chairman
Joe Beard, Treasurer
Tracye Bradford
Lance Byrd
Jim Cashion
Joe Colonnetta
Eric Dickerson
Pat Green
Connie Hunt
Bert Keller
Randy Kubosh
Jim Lowe
Dan Neil
Bill Priefert
Sherri Reuland
George Rodriguez
Mayor Bob Sartor
Debbie Terry
Norma Tovar
Members of the Steering Committee are committed to aiding the campaign through financial and grassroots support.

It was easy to see that coming, even before Ted’s role in helping the Chinese steal from Jordan Fishman became widely known. Obviously, Craig got into this too late to make a serious challenge but this quote is telling:
“I signed up for Ted Cruz a long time ago and I made a mistake. Count me in as a solid Craig James voter in the Republican primary on May 29th.”
That is the case with most of Ted’s supporters, they got in very, very early based upon his record as a staffer for Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott. Had Craig been in the race that long, there is no question he’d have the bulk of Cruz’ support. He’s far more personable and seems to truly enjoy talking with people, not at people. And I guarantee you that he would not be helping someone steal from someone else. I got a lot of negative feedback when I said that Craig could be making a move for Governor, don’t count him out.
