As you can see, at least 7 of the top 10 are in traditionally strong Republican areas.

Reviewing that one, you can easily see that the three areas with strong Tea Party leadership, Clear Lake, Kingwood, Katy, and to a smaller extent The Woodlands, got voters to the polls. Very nice.
Some observations from talking to voters and workers at the polls – I think that Prop 1 is going to go down but Prop 3 will survive. Totally unscientific but that’s my take. And at least at the Metro Center, there are a lot of voters that want to take Sheila Jackson Lee out. One lady about snapped her neck turning back to John Faulk – she had ignored him and walked on by until he told her he was running against SJL – she whipped around and said “Thank God” and grabbed one of John’s push cards.
Some candidates are working harder than others, no question about it. But all R’s will benefit so no one will care in the end. Say whatever you want to about the next Harris County District Clerk, Chris Daniel, but you have to admit that he works hard for his own campaign and for every other R. That is why he has the endorsement of every single conservative elected official in the area, including Greg Abbott, who rarely endorses any single candidate.
But it isn’t over yet. Why not take an hour or two out of your schedule this weekend and phone bank for Sarah Davis? She’s in a tight race to defeat one of the most liberal of liberals, State Rep. Ellen Cohen. If you’ll do your part and help her, she will win. That would be far more than just an R beating a D, it would be a fundamental shift of principle in the governance of West Houston. And that is important.
Or go to one of Gov. Perry’s GOTV rallies – he’ll be in Houston most of the weekend. Check the Harris County Republican Party calendar for details – Kingwood and Tomball tomorrow, Sarah Davis’ district on Monday. That will pump you up with enough energy to survive the final push Tuesday – and believe me, it will take every effort you have to overcome the D push. Only YOU can make it happen.
