Responding to Assad’s use of chemical weapons, President Trump acted decisively and swiftly with Tomahawk cruise missiles against the Syrian airbase from which the chemical bombs were flown

President Trump acted decisively and quickly in responding to Syrian President Assad’s use of chemical weapons against innocent men, women and children. Under the Commander-in-Chief’s order, the U.S. Navy fired 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles at the Syrian airbase from which the chemical bombs were flown.
President Trump deserves to be praised for his decisive and swift action.
But Republican Senator Rand Paul was critical of Trump for bypassing Congress. And several congressional Democrats were critical of the attack on Syria. Sen. Tim Kaine, Hillary Clinton’s running mate, said the attack without authorization of congress was “unconstitutional.”
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, who sits on the House Armed Services and Foreign Affairs Committees, said:
“This escalation is short-sighted and will lead to more dead civilians, more refugees, the strengthening of al-Qaeda and other terrorists, and a possible nuclear war between the United States and Russia. This Administration has acted recklessly without care or consideration of the dire consequences of the United States’ attack on Syria without waiting for the collection of evidence from the scene of the chemical poisoning.”
Far-left groups slammed the attack on Syria. George Soros funded MoveOn.org released the following statement:
“This illegal and unauthorized escalation could have devastating consequences, killing innocent Syrians and costing the lives of U.S. service members.
Let’s be clear: There’s no doubt that Bashar Assad is a brutal dictator who has slaughtered his own people and is complicit in the use of chemical weapons. But this is no humanitarian mission. These are missiles ordered by a flailing president with plummeting approval ratings, trying to show how ‘tough’ he can be. The result will likely be increased suffering for the Syrian people. And this unilateral U.S. attack could possibly even draw in Russia and Iran, which have been close partners of the Assad regime.
Congress must not allow Trump to act unilaterally. It must stay in session and force consideration of an Authorization for Use of Military Force before any more military action is taken. And moreover, members of Congress should vote ‘no’ to Trump’s march to war.”
Internationally, the Russians accused America of violating international law by attacking a sovereign nation. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu quickly supported Trump, saying:
“Israel fully supports President Trump’s decision and hopes that this message of resolve…will resonate not only in Damascus, but in Tehran, Pyongyang and elsewhere.”
Trump’s action may give Kim Jong-un pause to think about how far he can push the U.S. with his testing of ballistic missiles and development of nuclear weapons.
Unlike President Obama who drew a red line and did nothing when Syria crossed it, Trump didn’t fool around with any red line. Praise is what President Trump deserves, not condemnation!

Time will tell if gets praise, “Mission Accomplished”. He tells the Russians he is sending tommies. the Russians tell Assad that the tommies are coming. Assad moves equipment. Tommies get there and do their thing. The next day Assad is flying planes from the air field. My two cents $70,000,000 wasted.
Did we tell the Japanese that we were dropping the “Bomb” ahead of time?

If the public is worried about wasting taxpayer funds, one asks, where the hell were citizens when Congress gave Obama a no-limit charge card that took us up to nearly $20 Trillion in debt? We are pulling a wagon that is so grossly over-loaded, it is insane. Congress can’t bear the thought of cutting off the entitlements to 30+ million illegal aliens, Trump plans on squandering taxpayer funds on urban boondoggles, and so the question is why be worried about the cost of launching a few missiles if it sends the message to the world’s despots that they don’t have Obama to push around anymore; whereas, we need to push Trump to give Congress Hell for only working 8 days in April.

$70,000,000 is a lot of money. Thus far I have not seen anything that the Republican Federal Government has done that will bring down the federal debt.
It is easy to blame all the problems on “Illegals”, a problem that Republicans and Democrats allow to continue. Illegals and Negroes are the problem get rid of both of those groups and America will be great again, right? But let us not stop there get rid of all feminists? Get rid of all liberals? Get rid of all medicaid users? Get rid of all worthless people living of the government on social security and medicare? Illegal Drug users get rid of all of them? Soon we will be great again.Get rid of all people that rely on government contracts? Get rid of all people that have used affirmative action?
As to the message to despots, the next day planes were taking off and bombing the same place that they had bombed before. Pushing stories that are easily discredited does not make for good argument.
I will go on a limb and state that Cruz may get defeated next year if things continue the way they are going.

“I will go on a limb and state that Cruz may get defeated next year if things continue the way they are going.” It is conceivable (barely) that another Republican candidate might run against Cruz in the primaries. And it is possible (though unlikely) that such a candidate might actually win.
If, however, you are speaking of Cruz losing in a general election – statewide – you’re not on a limb, you’re on drugs.
As for your 2nd paragraph, hyperbolic, reductio-ad-absurdum, wild-assed statements that bear no resemblance to reality does not make for good argument.

I don’t do drugs, nor I am aware of any of my family members that do drugs, so you must be thinking that all families are like yours, right Fat?
I am thinking Democrat, Fat.
You are correct on the last paragraph so I give you credit for understanding my argument, great job figuring that out. Now if you can figure out why it was written in such a way you would be a genius?

Nowhere:
Once again you’re floating in the ether. The only person that has mentions families is you – freudian slip perhaps?
No possible way a Democrat wins a statewide race in Texas in 2018. Just. Ain’t. Gonna. Happen.
As for figuring out why you write the silliness you write – I’ve productive things to do with my time.
