Thursday night’s NFL season opener between the Houston Texans and the Kansas City Chiefs was a demonstration of how far BLM has succeeded in taking over our country.
The Texans stayed in the locker room during the playing of “The Star Spangled Banner.” And when they did come on the field they stood in a line and locked arms with the Chiefs.
At that point the announcer asked for a moment of silence for racial justice while “End Racism” was shown on the video boards at each end of the stadium. Instead of remaining silent, many in the social distanced crowd of 17,000 booed.
The booing dumbfounded J.J. Watt. “The booing was unfortunate in that moment,” said Watt. “I don’t fully understand that. There was no flag involved, there was nothing involved with that besides two teams coming together to show unity.”
Apparently Watt is too dumb to understand that many Americans are fed up with all the BLM riots and the notion that all whites should feel guilty for the racism in our nation.
The Chiefs for their part sang “Lift Every Voice And Sing,” the black national anthem.
“End racism” was painted on one end zone and “It takes all of us” on the other one.
And fans of the Chiefs were prohibited from wearing Indian warbonnets and war paint. Heaven forbid that some Native Americans might be offended at the sight of palefaces wearing Indian makeup.
As for the black national anthem, the NFL will play it before every game.
Of course there is racism in this country as is in all the European countries, in the Asian Countries, in the African countries, in the Latin American countries and in the Middle Eastern countries. And the racism in many of the world’s counties is far worse than the racism in this country.
Yes, there are bad cops among America’s 800,000 law enforcement officers, but they are only a tiny fraction of this country’s law enforcers. And among those bad cops there are those that have wrongfully beaten up or shot citizens, both whites and blacks. But every incident where cops use any force against blacks or shoot them is blown up by the media which all but ignores such attacks against whites which outnumber those against blacks.
And the poison that has permeated the NFL and all the other sports has also infected our public school system. The “1619 Project” of The New York Times, which is being adopted by a number of public school districts, is rewriting our history and all but teaches students that a black man discovered America. When teachers in Wylie, Texas and Westchester, New York used a cartoon comparing cops to slave owners and the KKK, were they fired? … No!
So, while our schoolchildren do not learn how to read, write and do simple math, they do learn that cops are like the KKK.
BLM is succeeding at turning our country upside down. When will America be renamed Afrimerica?
By refusing to come out for the national anthem – that is this nation’s anthem – the Texans have disgraced the city of Houston. All patriotic Houstonians should boycott this disgraceful and disgusting team!
I don’t know why the NFL even bothers to play the Star Spangled Banner any more. The black national anthem, seems much more appropriate for the NFL.
And by acting as the voice of BLM, the NFL has disgraced the United States along with the NBA, MLB, major league soccer and all the other sports organizations that have been taken over by BLM.
If the truth be known, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell doesn’t give a damn about racism, social justice and police brutality. He just wants to mollify the NFL’s black players. If Goodell were honest, he would rename the league for what he has helped it become – the BLM Football League.
All patriotic Americans should boycott the unpatriotic BLM Football League!

“All patriotic Americans should boycott the unpatriotic BLM Football League!”
Absolutely. Already done. I’m planning on catching a few high school games this year, in lieu of watching people who very specifically hate me flip me the bird for a couple hours straight.
Anecdotally, I talked to a family friend in the New Orleans area. She said three of her nephews, absolute Saint fans….I mean die hard fans, tailgating fans, had forsaken the Saints. These are people who live and die by the Saints…..and they are done.
They say viewership was down 28%. If so, then I have lost faith in America, but I suspect the number will be higher going forward, as the many fairly apolitical folks who like sports as a nice diversion from their lives, are revolted by what they are seeing. We knew what was coming; we didn’t bother to even tune in. Many others were caught off guard. What will they do going forward?
Hopefully the answer is, “turn it off.”

We shouldn’t be surprised that the NFL is promoting Marxist ideology as free speech. Oh wait…
2009 – Rush Limbaugh denied ownership stake in St. Louis Rams for being too conservative
2012 – Tim Tebow sanctioned for kneeling in prayer before games and wearing ‘John 3:16’ on his anti-glare blackout
2013 – Brandon Marshall fined for wearing green cleats to raise awareness for people with mental health disorders
2014 – RG3 forced to remove a t-shirt with “Know Jesus Know Peace” prior to press conference after winning play-off game
2015 – DiAngelo Williams fined for wearing “Find the Cure” anti-glare blackout for breast cancer awareness
2015 – fined William Gay for wearing purple cleats to raise awareness for domestic violence
2016 – prevented the Dallas Cowboys from wearing a decal that honored the 5 cops killed by a BLM gentleman
2016 – threatened to fine players that attempted to wear cleats adorned with honors for 1st responders to 9/11
See? They do have standards!
I’m actually pretty sad for what I see coming. One of my kids was able to get American Little League to donate a substantial sum to build a baseball complex for regional tournaments in our little town. The town more than matched that donation and a beautiful fields of dreams complex was created. In the short time it has existed it has hosted dozens of LL teams at a time for tournaments, hosted Texas High School girls softball tournaments and expanded to include high school games. It has been a boon to the tax base and a great community meeting place. And it takes a lot of volunteers to make all of this happen.
Now I see the disgust fans are experiencing with this BLM mess and I bet it will have an impact. If we lose a fraction of the participants of sports because people lose interest that will create a warp in the fabric of the voluntary participation. Reduce the interest and the money dries up. When the money dries up the end is at hand.
I coached and managed at Westbury LL and the fields at Kyle Chapman Park on Bissonnet for about 8-9 years between my sons time on those fields and at Bellaire HS. Wonderful memories. I see my son so devoted to what he helped create spending his years developing my grand kids the same way I did my kids. The friends you make on all the teams, the end of season parties, the trophies, the close calls (“Dad, you blew that call at second. Robert was safe!”) create the moments that cement the sense of community I got to enjoy in person and recall with fondness.
Similar to every other institution the left devours, I see this as one of the saddest targets.

Y’all need Jesus. BLM is simply asking for _equality_. If you can’t see that Houston’s Black communities are in much worse shape our White communities, then you must not get out much.
If it’s true that the cops’ “attacks against whites… outnumber those against blacks,” then I suggest you get mad about that and start asking the same questions that BLM is asking.
Why do we hold people in jail for nonviolent offenses?
Why aren’t HPD officers being paid enough to live in the city limits?
Why are officers allowed to “Meet & Confer” before giving testimony?
Why don’t we have non-officer citizens present for walk-throughs of officer involved shootings?
Why doesn’t HPD have a clear policy for releasing body cam and dashcam footage?
Why doesn’t HPD have a policy to minimize the use of provocative and unnecessarily aggressive tactics and equipment, such as riot gear and armored vehicles?
Everyone benefits from criminal justice reform, except the for-profit prisons and arms manufacturers.

why does just about every incident that causes blacks to get ‘special treatment’ seem to involve resisting arrest?
George Floyd swallowed his stash to avoid getting caught violating his probation. He said couldn’t breathe before he got out of his own car. He died of an overdose per his autopsy.
Trevon Martin attacked his armed killer.
Michael Brown robbed a store and attacked the police when confronted.
Name the incident and I’ll cite the poor decisions that led to the outcome.
If I was a Houston cop I wouldn’t live in the city for the same reason I left it. Taxes are too high. And he knows his pension won’t cover that.
Fat Albert says
From the BLM website:
“We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence.”
“We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.”
“We foster a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).”
The interesting thing is that when they actually start talking about their goals, they really don’t say anything about reforming police departments, their’s is a much broader, much different agenda. It’s also quite interesting that, while they mention women and mothers quite a bit, they don’t talk about fathers – not once!
If you want to reform and help to upgrade the police – I’m right there with you. Cops aren’t perfect and any bureaucracy can be improved. But, trust me on this, BLM isn’t about criminal justice reform, they are about societal re-construction.
Howie Katz says
Mr. Culberson, your far-out leftism has blinded you to the truth about BLM. BLM has never asked for equality. It was co-founded by Patrisse Cullors who has declared that she and fellow BLM founder Alicia Garza are “trained Marxists.” And even you, Mr. Culberson, must know that the Marxists are intent on overthrowing our system of government.
And BLM’s charter makes clear, BLM itself is structurally anti-Semitic. Here are some lines from an article authored by Caroline Glick:
While accusing Israel of committing “genocide,” BLM blames Israel for the US war against militant Islam. Its charter states, “The US justifies and advances the global war on terror via its alliance with Israel and is complicit in the genocide taking place against the Palestinian people.”
According to the BLM charter, US military aid to Israel is the foundation of America’s problems. Because of US military aid to Israel, BLM alleges, “Every year billions of dollars are funneled from US taxpayers to hundreds of arms corporations, who then wage lobbying campaigns pushing for even more foreign military aid. The results of this policy are twofold: it not only diverts much needed funding from domestic education and social programs, but it makes US citizens complicit in the abuses committed by the Israeli government.”
The charter accuses Israel of being an “apartheid state,” and supports the anti-Semitic boycott, sanctions and divestment campaign against Israel. It calls for local, state and federal action against Israel. Among other things, BLM demands that the US military budget be cut by 50%, “which will lead to the closure of over 800 US military bases in the US and around the world, and the elimination of the sale of weaponry to violators of human rights, reduces the use and stockpiling of nuclear weapons and return all troops back from the current theaters of war.”
So for BLM, anti-Semitism isn’t a bug. It is a feature. Hatred of Israel and the Jews is part of its DNA.
__________
BLM never did and does not now give a damn about about a single black life. BLM merely uses the killing of blacks by the police as a means of achieving its true goal, the overthrow of our government.
Mr. Culberson, I’m sure that Jesus will forgive you for your ignorance about BLM.
