Welcome to a Historical Opportunity!

I’ve no doubt the Big Government statists trying to divide this great nation along color lines have their heads spinning right about now, ala Linda Blair in “The Exorcist”.

After Dr. Langston Gillum gave the opening invocation, Dr. Earl Johnson pointed to the group’s banner and the mission statement of the Crispus Attucks Tea Party:

“To build a strong base of Conservative Black entrepreneurs elected officials and Constituents that provide Black Conservatives a viable way to express and implement their Conservative values politically. Create, promote and maintain positive identities within the minds of the descendents of America’s Black Slaves. Fully illuminate the paths and tools required to control their lives and the destiny of their children and fully assimilate into American society”

Newly elected Texas House Representative James White of Lufkin (TX-12) spoke about his first few days in Austin as the 82nd State Legislative session opened, after being introduced by Jessica Hughes his campaign manager. Representative White told the group he’d been assigned Desk 80, the same desk that Governor Perry sat behind when Perry served in the Legislature. “There’s a Bible inside the desk”, said James and “you write your name in the Bible and identify an impressionable scripture that would guide you through the session”.

James wrote:

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!

Isaiah 6:8

Now THAT’s some inside scoop fer ya, huh? Are the heads of the secularists spinning yet?

Anita Moncreif of “Emerging Corruption” introduced herself to the group and recounted a short version of her upbringing in Birmingham, Alabama in the late 70’s through 80’s. Whenever she gives an account of the Sherwin Williams paint / ACORN shakedown story I’m always stunned by the number of those hearing her insider perspective for the first time.

Lots of other folks were in attendance;  Bill Calhoun and Mona Lisa Chambers of the Texas Republicans Historically Black Colleges & Universities Initiative, Carl Pittman, who’ll be running for Harris County Sheriff, John and Mary Lynn Faulk, Catherine Englebrecht, Becky Bowyers, Mark Antill, and Kendrick Dean, just to name a few. Grass roots folks just like you and I. No George Soros funding here.

BTW: Someone announced at the meeting that Herman Cain, former Godfathers Pizza CEO would be in the Houston area later this month. If anyone can confirm that, please post a note in the comments section. Herman announced the formation of a 2012 Presidential exploratory committee; you can learn more about Herman and keep up with him here .

So, let the word go out from here today; the Crispus Attucks Tea party is here to stay. Their next meeting is February 2nd at “This Is it”. Please be sure to RSVP via email at rsvp@crispusattucksteaparty.com.
