According to Rep. Debbie Riddle, Texas House Republican Caucus Chairman Larry Taylor has called for a meeting of the caucus to be held on January 10th. From Rep. Riddle’s Facebook entry:
Our Caucus meeting for the Republican State Representatives will be January 10th. The Caucus Chair, Larry Taylor, has called the meeting on that date because most, if not all, Reps will be in Austin getting ready for Swearing-in-Day on Jan. 11th. I appreciate Larry calling the meeting,and doing so for the 10th. For those of you keeping up with this Speakers race you know the importance of this meeting.

There you have it “patriots”. Terrible precedent to set but set it they apparently will. Speaker Straus will win this caucus but will that matter to these “patriots”? I think not.
