Lt. Governor Patrick Statement on
President’s Nomination of Ryan Patrick for US Attorney
for the Southern District of Texas

AUSTIN – Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick made this statement today following President Donald J. Trump’s nomination of his son Ryan Patrick for United States Attorney for the Southern District of Texas:

“Jan and I are obviously very proud of our son Ryan. The selection process was extremely competitive and involved a series of interviews and reviews over the past six months. His record as a prosecutor and criminal court judge make him uniquely qualified for this position and we are very happy for him.”

By all accounts, Ryan Patrick did an excellent job as a Judge and there are high expectations for him as US Attorney. The Southern District has an awful lot of work to be done in stopping public corruption, white collar crime and violence in the streets. We wish him the best of luck.
