I do not believe it is unfair to say that a majority of United Nations members hate America. They are envious of our wealth and power. The UN General Assembly does not waste an opportunity to poke a finger in Uncle Sam’s eye. And with President Trump’s declaration that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, even the UN Security Council, with our allies Britain and France joining in, tried to bash that declaration.
On Monday UN Ambassador Nikki Haley vetoed an Egyptian sponsored resolution that demanded President Trump rescind his declaration that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. Our allies Britain and France joined the other 12 Security Council members in voting for the resolution.
Haley said “What we witnessed here today in the Security Council is an insult. It won’t be forgotten.” She went on to say, “The United States will not be told by any country where we can put our embassy.”
Now Turkey and Yemen have introduced a similar resolution in the 193-member UN General Assembly which is expected to pass with near-unanimous support. In a letter to some of the members, including our allies, Haley warned:
“As you consider your vote, I encourage you to know the president and the US take this vote personally. The president will be watching this vote carefully and has requested I report back on those who voted against us.”
Haley followed that up with this Tweet:
“At the UN we’re always asked to do more & give more. So, when we make a decision, at the will of the American ppl, abt where to locate OUR embassy, we don’t expect those we’ve helped to target us. On Thurs there’ll be a vote criticizing our choice. The US will be taking names.”
Taking names is not enough! It’s past time for us to kick ass and get the UN out of the US.
The UN has condemned Israel at every opportunity, so it’s no surprise that it would condemn Trump’s Jerusalem declaration. But its members also have a long record of voting in the General Assembly against the interests of the United States.
That is not to say the UN is worthless. Its peace keeping missions have been and are well worthwhile. And it has provided much needed aid to third world countries. But like President Trump, I believe in America first.
I don’t say we should get out of the UN, but I do say the UN should get out of the US. Right now it is sitting on an extremely valuable piece of Manhattan. After the UN is gone, the vacated grounds and buildings should be given to the highest bidder.
The U.S. provides 22 percent of the UN budget and 28 percent of the peacekeeping budget. If it were not for the disproportionate funding by the US, the UN would likely collapse. It’s way past time that UN members up their share of that body’s expenses, especially the more wealthy members like Britain, Germany, France, Russia, China and Japan.
I think it would be fair for Congress to reduce our funding of the UN by half. Then we’ll see if the other members believe the UN is worth spending more of their money on.
If we kick the UN out of the US, it will be no great loss.

Amen Howie.
The Rockefellers (devout globalists) donated the land that their building sits on. It was always meant to be part of the machine that would in the end take us down the global rat hole. Chicago is currently asking the UN to come and save them, save them from themselves and liberal lefty globalist policies! Ha There is nothing uniting about the UN.

Nikki Haley must read this blog. Way to forecast her speech today.

I have long thought this was a good idea. Move the whole thing to an abandoned oil drilling platform in the north sea where they could work without distraction. Then turn the current UN building into low rent housing. OR else let the French have it. They wanted it really bad way back when. Let them deal with the bullshit for the next 50 years.

Let Chicago have the entire UN body of people in that State where Black lives matter seems to have no interest in being American Citizens and working as a whole with other States. They can use the UN for their targets instead of American families
