HD-127 Candidates Open Money Spigot

That’s right, almost $600,000 for a job that pays $600 a month.

That’s a lot of money, no? Both candidates have dipped into their own pockets, with Dr. Curling putting $100k up front but both have also been able to raise almost a combined half-million.

The race pits two top consultants against each other, Ted Delisi and Allen Blakemore. They also happen to be two of the consultants that like to run contrast/compare campaigns, which some people call “dirty”. No idea why they would say that; after all, what’s wrong with the HubertyHustle? Or criminal probes? Or was she an employee or not?

Mr. Delisi is clearly winning the money war: Dr. Curling’s campaign has paid his firm over $168,000, of which $42,000 was for consulting. In comparison, Mr. Blakemore’s firm has only received about $15,500 from Mr. Huberty, and only $10,000 of that was as a consultant. Poor Mr. Blakemore. Of course, his candidate darn near won the primary outright in a crowded field, so he’s probably doing something right.

I know that I said earlier to get un-linked and vote for Dr. Curling because of Mr. Huberty’s funding of Terry Lowry’s Link Letter. I hereby release you to vote for the candidate of your choice – neither one of these candidates gets a clean bill of health.
