The misery of job loss in Texas continues in the Age of Obama. Another 800 Texans (and their families) in Smith, Dallas, Collin and El Paso counties are affected by the most recent mass layoff notices posted on the WARN section of the Texas Workforce Commission.
Employees at Werner Company, Wingspan Portfolio Advisors, RockTenn-Tyler will lose their jobs over the Christmas/ New Year’s holiday.
- Werner Co. will lay off 62 employees at a Socorro, TX warehouse location (gee, sounds like jobs held by the evil 1{997ab4c1e65fa660c64e6dfea23d436a73c89d6254ad3ae72f887cf583448986}, huh?)
- 453 people at Wingspan Portfolio Advisors will lose their jobs; according to Wingspan’s website, they were known “for converting defaulted loans into re-performing loans, saving borrowers and lenders alike from the lengthy and painful process of foreclosure”
- 53 employees at RockTenn’s Tyler, Texas container plant will lose their jobs AND
- 238 people at the Irving, Texas location of Research in Motion Corporation(RIM) lost their jobs on November 7th.
BUT WAIT! There’s more!
On November 14th, the Kansas City Business Journal reported Hostess Brands may liquidate the entire company. Of course, the Houston Chronicle couldn’t be bothered with updating their November 12th story on Hostess. Why? Because if you do a Yahoo! search on Wonder Bread and Hostess, you’ll learn there are Wonder Bread and Hostess Bakery outlets in the Greater Houston-Harris County area.
This is the misery City of Houston and Harris County Democrat malcontents supported imposing on their fellow Texans. Big Jolly will continue to monitor the growing list of Texans losing their jobs in the Age of Obama.
