I joined the Harris County District Attorney’s Office in 2005. In more than 11 years there, I was promoted in various trial divisions. I most proudly served in the Crimes Against Children Division. I prosecuted more than 70 jury trials for crimes ranging as high as capital murder and was named Legal Leader on the Rise by Texas Lawyer Magazine. As Chief Prosecutor of the 178th District Court, I supervised prosecutors and handled hundreds of felonies –capital murders, aggravated robberies, and sexual assaults. I also served as a Chief Prosecutor in the Public Integrity Division, where I prosecuted public corruption cases. I am fluent in Spanish and started my own law practice in 2017.
