2010 Republican Primary: Texas House District 134 – The Candidate's Issues

Texas House District 134 includes Bellaire and West University Place. The district has been represented in the Texas House by Rep.Ellen Cohen (D) since she defeated incumbent Martha Wong (R) in 2006 by a margin of 55.8{997ab4c1e65fa660c64e6dfea23d436a73c89d6254ad3ae72f887cf583448986} to 44.2{997ab4c1e65fa660c64e6dfea23d436a73c89d6254ad3ae72f887cf583448986}. Economically, the district fares much better than most in Texas, with poverty rates about 1/2 of the state average and per-capita income 62{997ab4c1e65fa660c64e6dfea23d436a73c89d6254ad3ae72f887cf583448986} above the state average.

In an effort to get more candidate information out, I have been doing a series on different races, asking the candidates about their top three issues.

Could each of you briefly list the top three issues that you see for your district and your plan to address those issues? You can see an example by clicking here.

I received the following in return.
