On Tuesday, December 15th, I sent all three candidates the following question:
What are three issues (other than Sheila Jackson Lee) that you think are the most important to the residents in CD-18 and what is your plan to address them?
Here are the three issues that each candidate responded with. For their complete and full answers, click on the link provided.
Tex Christopher – No response received.
John Faulk – The three most important issues for
- One and Two – Economy and Jobs
- # 3 Constituent Services

Brenda Page – Thank you for the opportunity to discuss three issues facing Congressional District 18. Issues that are hot topics in the news today are not necessarily the same ones that will be before Congress after the November 2010 general election. These are, however, issues that persist in our district:
- Small Business
- Jobs
- Education

I would like to thank Mr. Faulk and Ms. Page for their very detailed responses. I have met both of these candidates many times on the campaign trail this year and can attest to their enthusiasm and commitment to CD-18 residents. For conservative leaning Democrats or Republicans, either person would be a vast improvement over the incumbent.
